^ ^ ^ As above, you will need the Vag-Com (vcds) software and lead from Ross Tech

Depending on how much use you would get from it, it may be worth seeing if there is somebody kind enough in your area willing to let you use theirs rather than having to fork out £150+ purchasing it.

There is always the option of purchasing a lead for ~£20 if there are still any available (see thread in this forum).

I was on on Tuesday getting the Stage 2 done and got the guys there to change to VCDS for me ... will post video when i post photo's this weekend!!

I would just pop into a seat garage or main street garage and say "I want a tweek doing to my VCDS, can you help?" if he says no just say "there is a Tenner in it for you".

Thats all i did, but he just did it and did not want paying.
Any garrage that can work on VAG engines should have this software.

Needle Sweep

Mine was already done when I picked it up from the Dealer-SG Petch Durham.

I have to say I took my car in for its first service 30 April and i wont name the Seat Garage in Durham but when i got it back i have a whopping scratch in the bonnet and a pressure dint in the drivers side front wing.

Took me 2.5 weeks of conversations and a huge argument in the showroom to finally speak to the aftersales manager to get this sorted.

Going in monday 6th June for 3 days ... yes, 3 DAYS!!! to get the work done ... 5 weeks later!!

that''s disgusting mate. i've had similiar issues with company vehicles. dealers....:censored:

VAG-COM and lead in Glasgow

Anyone able to help me out in the Glasgow area with vag-com, to disable seat belt warning, enable alarm chirp etc etc. will pay small reward!!

Hi n5erd,

Did you manage to get this sorted ... I think i am coming up your way towards the end of Feb.

Hey Jmerrie, I'd like you to see if you could do it to mine! If you wouldn't mind? What date you up?
