I don't suppose there is any video instructions anywhere? I'm worried that I will mess it up!

Do you the SEAT dealer would fit it for me?

Is it a straight swap or would there be any other mods needed?

I've already done this, and it's a straight swap. However, my bluetooth no longer works - I believe you also need one of these: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/AUDI-Bluetoot...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4aa9d12f70

The wheel controls still work, but I can't select by clicking the left wheel either.

Mine is from an A4, so it says Audi on it and when it starts, but so what? It sounds much better than the standard unit, but I also upgraded to the Bose speakers too. I'm yet to install the sub and amp though.

Never touched any adapter and I don't have a VAG-COM - yet.

A good friend of mine is an Audi technician, and he informs me you need the RNS bluetooth module. There's a TV module you can get too. It's pointless though, as my phone no longer works with the address book anyway, I still find it hard to talk, drive and hear, and it's also distracting.

i have to say thats rubbish then.
The bluetooth modules dont work across the headunit range, no way I would change that to. Another reason to go after market then.

The bluetooth does work. It is independant of the head unit and will even work without a head unit installed.
I changed mine about three months ago and its worked brilliantly ever since. I know that some of the coding defaults when you change the head unit so is possible the code needs to be redone.

If a dealer fits a new head unit, they will change DIS and some loom so is very expensive but I did'nt mind having a red DIS.

So to confirm if you put an aftermarket head unit in it still works and displays on the DIS?

Dont see how it works with no HU in as surely thats needed for speaker usage.

Ha ha. Yes your right, the speakers wont work without a head unit but the DIS and steering wheel controls do. Once the head unit is installed and the coding done, the phone information is transferred to the head unit via CAN.
I'm not sure if the Audi bluetooth module is compatable with telephone inputs on aftermarket head units.

Most aftermarket head units have their own blootooth module inbuilt and you would use a Connects2 lead to fit to the steering wheel and DIS.
