high pitch noise

i parked up , left the car for a good hour then went out and started to wash it , and when bending down to wash the wheels i could hear a very high pitched noise coming from the engine , no doors had been opened and i hadent even turned the alarm off , anyone else had this or noticed it?

Nope never heard that sort of noise.

When I turn the ignition off I get a high pitched electronic 'squeel' Its normal though.

Not your usual electronic noise when you just switch the car off? Is it different?

no mate its not the usual noise its an hour after i turned the ignition off.

If its high pitched you would think it was ecu/egr related, however no fault codes thrown up on vcds is mystifying. Sounds like something is on electronic loop, is it a constant high pitch? Do you have HIDs fitted? Could be something to do with them if you do.
