Fr+ media system 2.2

Hi everyone. Need some help on the media system 2.2 for the new Leon FR+. Just got delivery of the FR+ which is supposed to have the latest media system 2.2 but the instruction manual shows it as a 2.1 and so does the start up screen on the media system. I am new to all this so not sure whats what. How do I go about finding out the correct spec?? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Do you have FR badges on the Seats and gear lever? Also FR+ comes with 18" Ibera wheels as standard along. 2.2 does have full postcode but so should 2.1 with the latest update.

I know it does....i didn't mean mine!! I've got an FR with Ibera's, and all the other goodies!!

I've got the media System 2.1 and it doesn't do full postcode?, wasn't aware of an update....got the car brand new in May? Has it been released since then?

Doh oh yes there is an update for VW version so SEAT should have a software update as well, 2.2 includes voice dialling to match the separate bluetooth module.

That is the millon dollar question VW have the update from the dealer have tried to find a download but to no avail sadly.

Maybe they were using up 2.1 systems or did not have stock in of the 2.2? Did you get the new rear LED's?

SEAT will just give you the "right to change specification" if you contact them but worth a try and may no about the full postcode update.

Yes my car has the new rear LED light clusters. I suppose I will have to contact the dealer for updated system 2.2.

I've been going through the 2.1 to 2.2 update recently (was going to post details once it was sorted). Anyway,dissapointed with the crap postcode search on the 2.1 (my postcode changed 6+yrs ago and I have to use the old one!) I talked to the dealer and they tried on a couple of occasions to get it updated with different stories about there is an update but we just cant find it. Eventually I called SEAT UK who confirmed there was an update and I was ok to get it, spoke to the dealer and then again to SEAT UK and it was on back order and they would let me know when they get it in (SD update).

Got a call from SEAT UK last week (was busy) and the guy left me a message now saying the update has not been released for SEAT, VW have it but he cannot give a date when it will be available and even if it will be available.

I am due to call the guy back tomorrow to get more info as the nav side of the system is pathetic for a car purchased in 2011.

So the voice recognition is already there with the 2.1 system, just not active?

I had voice recognition on my PD, on the CR the button is there but all it does is mute the sound, so it is there its just typical useless SEAT.
