Electronically mate

Thats normal, runs on actuator pressure with n75 disconnected

Ahhh, cheers! I got the wrong end of the stick in another thread then :)

Only tried it for a short time with the vac pipe off.....

Need to give it a try with it disconnected electronically then....

So I'm now right in saying if I disconnect the n75 plug and it boosts to 10psi the actuator is aok and the n75 is prob goosed?

10psi is higher than a std turbo would be tho.... summats up.. should be 5psi actuator pressure on stock setup turbo

Right guys if I disconnect the vacum pipe from the n75 to the actuator I get boost agin but its a bit all over the place and not overly fast. If I disconect the n75 electronicaly but leave the vacum pipe on it makes no diffrence to the boost, still ,4. Does this point towards an actuator problem?

actuator disconnected is uncontrolled boost, and in BANG levels... so if its wavering, and/or overboosting, the ecu may well be intervening and trying to close throttle etc to stop the what should be overboost

to test if actuator is working... n75 electrically off it should boost 5psi.. If not, dirct plumb to actuator and retest.. if different, then look at n75 for being faulty

Bill what's the best way to test the n75 and actuator/wastegate?

To test the actuator you want to electrically disconnect the n75, you should only get 5-7psi boost, or a more accurate way of doing it is by pumping up the actuator and see what pressure it cracks and fully opens. (and to see if its not sticking)

To test the n75 you want to check reqested boost vs actual boost logs via vagcom

Guys thanks for the advice im going to try bypassing the n75 and see what happens, I got the car plugged in again today and got the following codes : 16622 P0238 Turbocharger Boost Sensor (A) Circ High Input,
16490 P0106 Manifold Abs.Pressure or Bar.Pressure Range/Performance, 17964 P1556 Charge Pressure Contr. Negative Deviation, also said something about g31 high boost something or another but I didnt write that one down. car has 4 bar map sensor if that helps?

why the wrong map sensor in it?

sorry 4 bar reg whatever that is?, have bypassed the n75 by plumbing in a t-piece and boost is exactly the same so can only really leave the actuator (I hope) Gonna order a forge one tonite and hopefully my problems will be over.

Any news?

Hello mate yeah I spoke to Jabbasport and gave them the fault codes from diagnostics and they diagnosed faulty MAP sensor straight away! Ive ordered a new one from TPS plus a new actuator from Forge both of witch are arriving 2moro. Going to have to wait til next week to fit them though but will defo let you know the outcome, hopefully get it on the rollers next weekend aswell which should be interesting.
