• Hey Guest💡👉 We have just launched our new Dealer Directory and review service Find out more now
can these be used on a standard supension setup? im just wondering if this could be a cheaper and easier way for me to get a little drop without the hassle of changing to coilovers or something?

Fronts only. Should be fitting them next week sometime, I'll post some before and after pics.

Well just got back off holiday and unpacked the supersport parcel here's a couple of pics, I can't fit them yet though I need to get some replacement bearings (hopefully today)

Measure them and the standard ones to see whet the difference is please

I will but it will be comparing new smaller top mounts with older (more compressed) mounts so it won't 100% accurate unless someone has the measurements of an oem mount.

Well i've had an eventful day today[:@]. What a PITA replacing these top mounts is turning out to be. Firstly couldn't get the strut out of the hub (should have bought a seperating tool) then after completely dismantling everything underneath i couldn't crack the top nut, took me over an hour just to crack it off. I eventually got it off after snaping an allen key, I soaked it in wd40 and used some mega brute force, could have done with a breaker bar really. Anyway it took that long I only got one side done, can't wait for tomorrow:(.

Enough of the chat anyway I took a couple of pics and some camparision measurements.

The rubbers: OEM= 4.7cm
SuperSport= 4.2cm

Metal cups: OEM= 2.6cm
SuperSport= 1.2cm

Can you tell me, did you go for standard bearings with these mounts in the end JMS?

I'm trying to get hold of a set for my TDI and was going to just get some standard bearings but thought i'd see what you did first :)

Yes I got standard bearings from my local GSF carparts. They had 2 types I got the more expensive ones which were about £3 each.
