remap on diesels can help fuel economy depending how you drive it obviously. dont expect to plant it and see it rise because it will drop.....fast. but drive normally and sensibly and it will benefit. welcome to the forum.

also depends on who does the map, some are more aggresive than others and you won't get a good mpg with those ones. Welcome to the forum btw.

Thanks for the welcomes an the advice:)

One of the reasons I got the fr was for better mpg. Think I am not sure cause I had a remapped golf gti petrol and liked the pull I got from it- kind of addictive lol.

130PD's take extremely well to remaps in my opinion its a must! A have no regets mapping mine best bit ove money a spent.

As mentioned by Scott as to mpg firgure if you plant dont expect 80mpg. Certainly a noticed a vast improvement in my mpg once mapped going from (average mpg) standard 40-45mpg to 60-80mpg once mapped.

Quick Update...
Car is now serviced as a got the oil the other day there,
opted for Millers XF in the end (one for me and one for the mate)

Also now fitted Whiteline Front rear bushs
as one of the passengerside had burst
so took the option to upgrade rather then replace with standard ones

I just got mine serviced, cambelt etc all done last week, feels better to drive now. Do you feel a difference with the new bushes?

Mines got 'revised' bushes which apparently last much longer. Tbh, i could'nt suffer the ride to be any harsher, far to crashy as it is without making it firmer!

When the standard bushes had failed on mine, it just made the steering feel a bit loose and disconnected, because the wheel could move back and forth within the arch. Steering feels tighter and more direct with the Cupra ones. I think "firmer" is probably the wrong word ;)
