didn't know that if you press the break and accel the same time it cuts out, is that right !!!!!!

I know in some diesals if you try "left foot braking" it cuts the turbo, also tried it in my Leon mk2 TDI and between the brake servo and turbo being cut out, I nearly got put through the windsreen!!

there are notches in the fuel filler cap so you can rest it on the fuel filler door thus saving your lovely clean paintwork

after market bumpers look stupid

but everyone knew that already

wouldnt have thought it would handle as well as a clio either. Definatley not if it was a 182 either they are awesome to throw about, stick like s*i* to a blanket.

Picked up my freshly converted LPG cupra! Didn't notice a difference to be honest so I'm now in the world of envoiromentally friendly rapidness! Oh and the fact LPG is cheap as hell had nothing to do with it!
Ak

did you know if you put petrol in an FR , the FR brakes .

also i got hit in my car the other day ( all ok now tho ) and the slightest of bumps broke my front lights ****ing joke eh . also did you know if you take all your windows down and keep you key in the ignition and get out of the car , all the windows start having a fit closing then opening .

also last thing if you put your mouth over the exhaust pipe while a friend revs the hell out of it - it blows your head off.

If you manage to park your leon in the back of someone else and break the brackets on both your headlights, you can get repair brackets from SEAT for a few quid instead of having to buy new headlights ;)

no serious , the guy reversed into me lol , he paid me money so sorted . infact i miss typed it was just the bulbs that broke not the headunits . cost me 8 quid and 2 bulbs of a friend and sorted. charged him 80 and got it repaired for 8 lol

When in traffic with a DSG. It's more comfortable to keep it in tiptronic or sport mode than it is to put it in D.

In D it seems to be a sine-wave-ish approach to throttle control when either not pressing the throttle or if pressing it a little bit in slow moving traffic.

In tiptronic or sport, it's smooth

I think it's a handy tip

It's either that or my DSG box is :censored:

To dispel a few misguided opinions that piled here about the LC / LFR / LCR hidden features:

1. With spring-shock-bushing-top mount-camber-caster in perfect condition, the passenger side (right, in Europe) is very-very-slightly (let's say ~2mm) higher compared to driver's side. It appears to be a feature to cope with crowned roads, so the car doesn't wander to the outside the road. (If the suspension is ever so slightly worn, different camber or caster right or left, the effect can't be seen or felt, it appears to be the same height on both sides.)

2. The front lower control arms are the same part for right and left, just mounted in reverse.

3. If the car is unlocked from the keyfob and no door, or any other door except driver's is opened, it locks itself back in 20 to 30 seconds. If unlocked from the alarm, this does not happen.

4. Lock the car from alarm or key, any open window closes itself. Lock from the keyfob and it doesn't.

5. Both brake and throttle can be used at the same time (there is no electronic or mechanical interlock).

6. Service indicator appears each 10 000 kms before ignition. It stays on if the service is not performed in the next 3000 kms. Handbook says it should be performed each 15 000 kms (but better be safe than sorry).

7. AC compressor won't come on below 2 degrees C. Although handbook says 5 degrees C.

8. ESP beeps in the dash if the car is suddenly pushed into a drift via the handbrake. It's a sign its capabilities are overloaded and overriden.

9. Red handbrake light blinks and a beep warns you if the brake fluid is below threshhold.

10. If you try to adjust the driver's mirror from the knob, the passenger side mirror self-adjusts itself at a similar angle. Try to adjust the passenger side mirror from the knob, it moves independently.

11. Clutch slave cylinder can and should be purged of air just like brake cylinders do. It may cure many small and nagging issues with clutch engagement.

12. A modded LC / LCR if pushed will torque-steer to the right just at the moment you try to move. It can be compensated from steering wheel.

I agreed with everything else you said in your post apart from this - on the drive by wire models the ECU works on a "last input" method.

The ECU will close the throttle plate if you are on the accelerator and then GENTLY press the brake with your left foot - you don't have to be braking hard, but after about a second or so the car slows.

In the same way that if you are braking with your left foot and then press the accelerator the car will accelerate.

It doesn't affect doing heel-and-toe downshifts.
