how to remove the tray/box under drivers seat?

Soo, I stuck my digital camera in that undertray a few weeks ago..Forgot about it and found it yesterday with the LCD scratched to hell.

Does anyone know if there's a way to get that pull out tray/box out without removing the drivers seat completely? Like...are there hidden clips at the back that I'm missing?

Reason I ask is that I want to cover the box in felt or something to stop it happening again.

Its easier to just remove the seat tbh! 4 screws and its out :_)

Get yourself an M10 spline bit, as thats what you need to remove the seat.

Don;t forget about the airbag plug too. If you switch the ignition on while the airbag plug is disconnected, you'll get a light on the dash that needs cleared with vagcom

Thanks for the tips Vroomtshh. I was just out in the car and wondered about the airbag..you must be psychic or something.
