Bad Back since After Buying FR

Hi guys, is it just me or does anyone else have a Bad back since after getting the Pre or Facelift model FR 170bhp? becuase after trying to take out a bag of rice, onion or something similar from the car boot my bad really began to hurt after doing it for about 4 weeks, hmm, i think the car might need to be redesigned to target this issue, cuz my old car mk4 astra was fine, i didnt have this problem.

the seat may be abit stiff, but you can soften it up abit.

although, sounds like your seat needs adjusting though. as they are pretty damn comfy when adjusted correct. i did 350 miles (in a pretty good time too ) on Wednesday, which i dont useally do, and felt snug all the way.

they are propper comfy to sit in get the lumbar support sorted mate mite help

Gota say one comfy seat in Leon , as for Astra one of the worst cars and seats I have ever been in , had new style Astra as a co car and hate it , not my choice in having one . Glad to say I no longer drive it got a van for work and my cupra for weekend blasts !!!

The FR seats are well comfy, better than the recaros in my old Zafira GSI.

I could never get comfy in a Vauxhall however the LCR I have has a lot stiffer seats than my wifes punto and I do notice it!

Have a C5 for work it's got heated seats with massage on, they are really comfortable , use the leon at weekends and whilst I do notice the difference (obviously) they are still comfortable , just hold you more. had a Galaxy for a while didn't like seat one bit.

Guys sorry i think You all mis-understood me, i know the leon's Seat is very comfortable, i mean the Boot, have you tried lifting a bad or onion or rice or something over 10kg into and out of it, its really bad for the back, i know cuz my back keeps telling me lol

I guess you'd get the same problem from the majority of cars. Unless you have a 4x4 or a people carrier with flat boots.
Most hatchbacks and saloon cars have boots that you have to reach into, to get things out.

well it is hard to bend the knees and then be able to reach into the boot, unless you got really long hands lol

Often bad back issues are due to issues over a long period of time and something that appears to trigger it isnt the cause, just whats highlighted it.

Poor driving position is often a factor, as is out ability to be lazy in how we pick things up. If the Fr ride is harsher than previous cars its not going to help certainly.

Regards the boot....i think most boots are poor. Some better than others.

Any option to put heavy items elsewhere in car? or on top of something in the boot so the lip is less of an issue?

I had a 55 plate astra and that had an awkward shaped boot and it didn't hurt ny back at all. Think you need to man up

In all seriousness though, I don't think its anything to do with the boot, it is probable that it is the only time you notice it. For example, I often get a bad back and only certain things trigger it.

well i know what you mean, i have astra older than yours the astra G, and i didnt get a bad back, but i notice if i lift something normally, its ok, but if i lift it out of the boot, my back begins to hurt, i think its the way the boot is and also the shelf is kinda in the way so you have to try and aviod it while trying to lift something inside the boot, its tricky and kinda hurts also hmm

Sounds like lifting technique to me. Ive had a Leon for 4yrs now with no issues.

Without knowing much about you this could be old age kicking in. You might want to start doing situps to build up your core muscles
