Cupra R 210?

Call me dumb but never owned a Cupra r before so little confused did an insurance quote as typed in the plate of the car I am buying and it said its a seat Leon Cupra r 1.8T 20V 210 is that mistake with them?

Early r's were 210, later ones were 225. The later ones had teardrop mirrors.
AMK engine is 210, BAM engine is 225.

Yeh the car I'm buying has tear drop mirrors has the newer front end the one with the slit under the front seat badge and has the bigger steering wheel with the red strip on the top and when I did a car check with my car check app it said 225 just confused me

is there away of makeing sure? anything i can check other than the mirrors? looking back at the car check it says its 221.3 confused... can i check anything under the bonnet or v5 doc? thanks

what is the engine code. amk or bam? both are cupra r. amk has older mirrors and different steering wheel. both perform and remap the same.

221.3 is the BHP of a LCR 225. LCR 210 were actually 212 BHP i think.

Look at the cam cover to the left it'll have a sticker with the engine code bam for the 225! Also check the cupra badge on the rear the word cupra willbe in red

Err i know that lol thats why i put the engine code of the 225 on as bam thats how you tell the difference Between a 210 and the 225 and also if its a 225 then the cupra will be in red...so not sure what your getting at??

Talking of insurance anyone got any advice on the best for a cheap price quoted off my currently insured with £601 but checked round and best i found is £913 i kno i should just go with my current but after the time it took for my claim to go through id like to try someone else...

for insurance try SEAT insurance. I did and was pleaseantly suprised with the price. I could have got a cheaper price (by about £20) but SEAT insurance is underwritten by a large company who are easy to deal with from a repairs point of veiw.

I think it may have crossed both engine codes, i think it was no longer an option from late 2004
