Having driven a ep3, the teg is on another level, so sharp, crisp, and yes vtec kick is in another league. 1st gear would wheelspin when it hit vtec. Ill pm you some pics in a mo.
 
I personally wouldnt touch anything jap older than 5 years old thats an import, 80% have been clocked /written off, A mate had a DC2 integra type R import, 6k in 2007 on further inspection had front and rear ender repairs, new air bag fitted, and only 60k on the clocks, clearly a lie after sifting over the car, it'd seen at least double that,

most jap imports you see running for 4-5k are old dogs and need putting out of their misery,

old evo's are chavs cars, unless its something special, :)

They are great cars very fast but also quite old now and id hes looking to spend 11k id say hes past the older car stage! Also milage always seems to be in the 100+s on those. Negaro blue for me though on a w plate upwards they look abit better.

Its hard to find one less than 100k as they are at that age now. But the engines can go on forever. They do look quite old i know but the sound of a V6 twin turbo gives the "shiver me timbers" Im sure i saw one 4 sale pushing 500 bhp but cant find it anywhere :(

Was it blue and had harv on the number plate? Ive had one before ;) they are great but just look old now!(
