Hi,

My 56 plate leon fr tdi has the dpf light on. I have tried to do the regen by driving over 2000rpm in 4th for 15+ minutes but light still on.

The car will sometimes idle at 1000rpm, then settles back down to 750rpm..... yet the light remains on.

When the car is idling at 1000rpm, its chucks smoke out exhaust, stinks of diesel fuses and runs lumpy.

Even when the light is on, when it settles to 750rpm, the car seems to run normal....

Does this sound like the dpf pressure sensor...... If so how much would a dealer charge to supply fit do you think? any idea on part number ?

My wife is doing 400miles a week in the car, Yet every time i get to use it at the weekend, it plays up.....

Help

Might be worth taking it to a dealer so they can scan it for any fault codes. They can also force a regen if needed.

has this had the injector recall as my mates 57 a3 had this wouldnt regen and had to have another set of new injectors under warrenty

My car has had all four injectors and loom replaced with the replacement ones.

Went to start my car this afternoon and battery was flat...

Thing is that the battery is a month old. My car did this a coupe of months ago and I replaced the battery then aswell. (so I have put on two brand new batteries within 4 months).

DPF light still on. Car started when jumped off another car. Was abit relunctant to start though.

Oh, I have had all four glowplugs changed, plus voltage relay.

I am really getting sick of this car now.

where bouts in uk are you mate ??

I am in Stevenage, Hertfordshire mate.

Its got to the point with the car now that I just dont trust it. So annoying as when the car is going good, its such as nice car.

I dont have vag-com.

When I turn ignition on the battery light does come on. when engine starts the light goes out.

The battery issue does always seem to happen when we have either had a heavy ran shower or yesterday (snow).

The car started this morning no issue at all.

I really hope I can get to the bottom of this. Everytime I contact the local SEAT Dealer..... ££££££££ light up in their eyes.

I booked the car in with the local SEAT Dealership.

On my way to the dealership, The car was struggling to do over 50mph and the turbo wasnt kicking in etc. 5 minutes into the journey the DPF light went off and power was restored.

I still continued to the dealership and told them that I feel something is still not right.

The car does 400+ miles per week mainly on motorway. When it comes to the weekend when its only doing stop/start driving, the car feels terrible and feels like its always doing a regen.

Hi,

Just to let you know i have a similar situation, I have a 08 leon FR Tdi 170 and took it to SEAT Derby for a major service as its done 57k now and they said it needed injectors replacing due to a recall and now after 1 month i have just had it back due it not starting every morning after new injectors had been fitted, they have replaced all 4 injectors 3 times now at their expence, but ironically my DPF light has never come on untill yesterday! mine now idle's at 1000rpm and the car shakes a lot! and drives sloppy but then will calm down and will idle at 750rpm where it drives really smooth, so i have booked it in to have it completly removed and a remap as well. just wanted to say your not on your own on this and ill let you know if my DPF removal makes any difference?
