Okay cool :) ta mate! Will check it out when i got time to look properly! What about mpg between the 210 and 225.. Cant be any difference if theyre the only changes. I heard u only get about 30 miles to a 10er? Oh dear.... Lol :(

Mpg between the two will be minimal....I'm getting 28mpg....others more others less...mine is standard

If you don't drive like a t*t all the time you'll get way more than 30 miles from 10 quid mate. I'd say if you're measuring fuel consumption in how far 10 quid will get you, you're probably looking at the wrong car though! Lol

Run a V8 for a couple of years and an LCR will seem like a Prius! :)

Ill have 4.5k max, will that be enough for a good one?

Easily!

Some people are pricing their cars pretty high at the moment, but I think they will be hard to sell.

I ended up paying 3 grand for mine. Yeah it's got 115k on the clock, but everything's already been done (belts, brakes, map, etc, etc) and its in very good nick.

My advice would be buy an already modded one unless you want to do it yourself. Modded cars are cheaper at the moment. Well they were a month ago anyway.

Alright cheers mate! Tbh i would keep it standard almost, 225bhp is enough for me!! Lol. Id be tempted to add a CAI n a DV maybe just because iv never had a turbod car so would like to be able to enjoy the noises it can make lol (geek i know). I want one with no more than 80k on really!
About mpg, im currently driving a 1.8 focus thats only getting 50 miles to a 10er if that, sometimes 40 n its the boringest car iv ever owned. So.. To have 225bhp and a car i love i wnt mind the mpg :)

You say that now...

Until you go in a a remapped one.

And you say you dont mind the MPG, until your like me and seeing the staff at shell every week with out fail. Im even getting to know the shift patterns lol.

Lol well ill be fine with it at least for a few months! Haha!! Oh god.. Hopefully it'll be worth it! Lol

Driving a turbo car is different to the focus aswell. You dont really need to drive past 5-6000 rpm. Even on track this weekend, I was changing just before 5800rpm.

I never do with the focus anyway cos its so borin i just drive it like a granny lol iv always loved my cars but i hate this one! Iv had it 2yrs aswell jus nt had the money to get sumet else but now i in another month or 2 max i willl have the cash!
What does the cupra r rev to? 7k or something?

Ok where to start?
Great cars these are, u have the passenger side water leaks, occasional coilpack failures and MAF problems, but not too much else.

Remember they are turbos, so try and run the car on tesco 99 or Vpower. May take a couple of tankfuls to notice, but you will notice. The pricier fuel works out a fiver extra over the course of a tank, so pennies really. As I said its a turbo, so drive careful on start up/run down. According to my boost gauge takes around 5 more minutes (after water is at 90*) for oil to be running at correct temp.

These are VAG cars so if you can get the best mods. All mods on VAG cars are pricy (this no exception), cheap eBay parts and u asking for trouble.

A remap will see (these days) 270+ on stage 1 and 300ish on stage 2. Best investment? HIDS 100%.

Other than that, watch that splitter its low. Even lower when you're like me and 30mm lower than standard. Service regular and she will be fine.

Sent from my iPhone when I should be working....

Once a week? Light weight ;)

Until recently I was doing 1000 miles a week in a v8. Now that hurts! :(

I can get 40 miles from a Tenner in my LCR if I'm just pottering or on the motorway mate. Easily. Unless you're ragging it they are fairly economical IMO.

As for being a geek for wanting turbo noises? Embrace your geekiness mate! From what I've seen on this forum so far it's plenty acceptable to do what you like to your car and enjoy it :)

As for mileage on the car, try to get it out of your head that low miles = good car. Not necessarily so. I'd rather have a 120k mile motorway/well looked after car, than an 80k mile town car that's done short trips all it's life on a cold engine.
