Good work again jake, my mate read your thread and said he bets you regret selling the white one, I said not cos you only seem happy when u have something to do up!

Any pics of the car once polished?

There would be if it would stop bloody raining lol.

Will take the good camera to work and take some for you,

I do miss the white one, there were silly little things that annoyed me with it, like the ride height, it really needed slamming, but the roads round here are so bad there would be no sump left, and lifting it up just made me feel sad with the looks lol" then I got bored haha

I think having Ethan our son has calmed me down by tiring me out 3 am feeds are no good, so there are things I want to do but can't be arsed, hehe

I know what you mean, i would love to slam it more to make it look its best but its just not practical, air would be ideal but can't really afford it with a wedding next year! (unless i can somehow slip it on the wedding budget? :D)
All said and done though i think how it stands now is the best it is going to be with the roads.

The seats look in great condition, i am yet to test out a standard LCR seat!

Recaros are heaven, this is going nice and subtle yet slowly getting perfect spec

That's the idea mate oem goodness.

Next month will see brakes all round. Discs are getting a fair old lip on them so will replace and get a set of mintex fast rd pads 1144 iirc.

Lovely Jake! I look forward to seeing photos of that new glass yellow paint finish. Very envious... Would you say the paint colour that you used is a better option for respraying rather than Ovni Yellow, in terms of the Ovni being very thin and almost transparent?

Such a nice example :)

Most yellows are very opaque by there nature,

I resprayed mine in ovni yellow as per it's colour code, you can vary the shades by the number of coats given, mg trophy yellow was terrible for this,

How much difference is there between the recaros and normal lcr seats look pretty much identical?

theres quite a diference,

they have bigger bolsters plus an extra adjuster for lumbar support too, they hug you more and sit you up more

Ah, I read that you used DuPont Solvent and then lacquer, thinking that it would be same paint code, but a better product.. Anyways, looking forward to the photos :D

the only reason i used the solvent was it has better coverage, the water based would of took twice as much product, the paint is better quality but the colour is the same, as in normal terms it would have to match if you were doing a panel repair

alright jake? i wondered who was driving that yellow cupra r about, and its yours! ha. that polishing is unreal! what did you use for that? Paul
