LCR - how to change clutch pedal

Il try to post as much as i can remember -
1. First take undertray off.
2. Undo the threaded plastic gromet holding carpet in left corner off.
3. Remove the 10mm nut holding the metal bar behind carpet & onto the brake pedal surround.
4. Undo 13mm/10mm on either side of bracket on brake pedal surround.
5. Remove X6/X5 13mm nuts holding brake pedal surround in place/remove the brake pedal surround.
6. Think there 13mm bolt that goes through clutch pedal/pul out.
7. Then gently press the white plastic tabs in that you see on the clutch pedal and pul clutch pedal towards you, hopefully it will come off with breaking the white plastic clip or what you call it.
Refit in reverse order... Please note some of the above may not be relevant as i did the above for fitting new servo/MC to my LCR.
It will make more sense when you do it. Pm me if you have questions. Hth

Doesn't sound too bad a job.
Will have a look over the weekend and get a pedal sorted out if it is at fault.
It comes up 3/4 the way and pauses then bounces the last wee bit!
No effect on the clutch etc it is just beginning to annoy me

Try to bleed the clutch pedal before you strip down, as i dont think it sound like the pedal.

It has one on the clutch pedal!
Mine started getting a bit sticky then the white clip broke and I had to have the back of the clutch pedal welded back up where it retains the clip as it had broke!
Defo has a white clip!

as above,
dont delay checking the clutch pedal, as they can fail, the white clip can fail or go through the pedal as part of the pedal fails, when it goes your stuck.
I changed a pedal without removing the back plate, which was a bit fiddly to get the spring back in - acess was the main issue.
aparently dealers remove the drivers seat when they do this, which i agree would make the job easier.
note the main bolt that the pedal swivels on, - when you take the old one apart there might be some little shims in either end, transfer these across to the new pedal.

Bit of background info required I think.
The white clip had came through the pedal.

And yes driving the mile without a clutch to the garage was fun!

Can you buy the white clip separate?

So I waS right! Yes that's what happens! The metal flap comes off the back as it is only spot welded either side and breaks! Mine is welded in properly now and yes you can buy the white clip seperately! Only cost me £20 to get welded up and refitted though I did remove the lower part of the dash to help them!

that bit of plastic i think provides no strength at all, and is likely just to meet the clutch pedal switch.
the weld provides the strength, its just a cr@p inadequate weld!
