Advice on Bouncy front suspension...

Update 2 on Bilstein B4s & Vogtland 35mm drop springs.
Fitted now and been run 3 days & about 80 miles,anything but "Bouncy",the complete opposite,they seem to be overly stiff,won't give at all when pushing down on front wings & seem to bang harshly when you hit a reasonable dent in the road,back & front

I had them fitted with new Cupra top mounts,new bearings,just can't figure why so hard.

I know struts & rear shocks are 15% uprated on standard,and i noted springs were proggresive wound so should be softish until pushed.....

Any ideas guys,would be much appreciated,before i go back to garage.

I have checked front springs are right way up(writing on springs right way up) as thought that could be a possibility,albeit clutching at straws.

Sounds like dampers are too stiff mate...

Ok Update time...

I swapped the front VOGTLAND dampers out for the old SACHS oil filled units ... the difference was absolutely night and day ... now keeping in mind the SACHS oil filled units have done over 100,000 miles it doesn't say a lot for the Vogtland dampers does it!?

Despite numerous emails going backwards and forwards to Vogtland where they sent me ONE replacement damper (wtf) I decided to leave the SACHS units on the front of the car.

Rear vogtland dampers stayed on the car as felt fine.

Well recently I came across some SACHS gas filled shocks for not a lot of cash... so bought them and have been waiting in a box since...

Last night I removed the rear dampers and installed the SACHS gas units... I was disappointed to find that one of the Vogtland rear dampers were leaking oil after just 2000 miles.

This weekend I will be swapping the fronts out and we should be fully sorted then.

So in summary ... don't buy the kit with the dampers from Vogtland!

Ahem...

SACHS gas dampers now fitted (hate doing that job!) and have also cleaned the calipers up and painted them again (not sure about the decals yet - likely coming off!) ... the disks are a bit of a mess so think its time for replacement.

Late spec LCR SACHS units are gas ... earlier ones are oil filled as they are on the Cupra.

I got lucky with these units... right place - right time
