Turbo failure

Sounds like a reasonable deal. I went down the used Garret route and have a garage fitting it as a reasonable charge - when they get round to it.

Ah ok! so sounds very much like what happened to mine. Pretty common it seams. Assume you found/ cleared out the nut as well?

Yeah, and I suppose luckily, the nut stayed wedged in the blades so didn't cause any problems trying to find that!

Garages suck! I'm literally so lucky i know people that will always help me with things like this. Where about are you based? I could ask my mate if he would do yours if you wanted as he is looking for as much private work as possible?!

Thanks mate - but I'm down near Gatwick and from your profile I see you're in Oxford.

The guy doing the work is actually a friend of my dads so I know he's good but always really busy and has contracts with the Gatwick cabbies - give it's their livelihood he gives them priority. But fingers crossed it should be done by the weekend - or I'll be having words.

This is fast becoming a PITA!

Just had a call from the garage that the ASZ turbo I supplied as replacement for my Ibiza is the wrong one. Was difficult to understand exactly what is different so suggested I pop into the garage to take a look and understand. Before I do – anyone know of any common issues it could be? They seemed to look very similar if not the same and everything looks like it lines up.
