Well I finally got an LCR after a few months of searching for one and it had to be in red.

Last car was a Ford Fiesta mk6.5 Zetec S which I had lowered on AP coilovers and fitted induction and miltek cat back to with gloss black RS style rear diffuser. With thoughts of gaining a million horsepowers out of its tiny 1.6 engine starting to fade I quickly decided to get myself an LCR with some advice from a mate who told me they were really good. Having never even driven one I had to take his word for it and got myself up to Edinburgh to pick one up.

The car is in great condition with only 42000 on full service history, had its bonnet and front bumper resprayed so not a stone chip in sight . Offered up the cash and drove it all the way back home in the lovely weather last weekend.

Here is how it stands at the moment, completely standard...for now. Needs a wash!

Few things I need to do:
Full clean and detail.
Tracking needs doing.
Need a vagcom to read an airbag fault.
Brembos need new coat of paint as they have started to fade.

Plans for the car:
Lowered on coilovers.
Wheel spacers.
Ipod control to the standard headunit as I want to keep the oem unit.
Maybe replace hoses with Forge ones.
De-wiper the rear.

Your thoughts good or bad are welcome.

Nice looking example there, welcome to the endless pot. This forum will assist you in spending untold amounts of money ;)

Dewipering doesn't seem to happen on here on the leons, everyone tends to go for a fabia wiper conversion as they look really smart and tidy yet keep the function.

Sounds like you'll be looking after it look forward to see it unravel as you go on :)

Haha don't want it to turn into tooo much of a money pit...

It already has a Fabia wiper on it (apparently)

No worries mate I was unsure if it was one or wasn't as only got the previous owners word saying he'd changed it, do people change them purely for looks or do they work better than oem wiper?

I'm pretty sure it's all about the looks mate. :)

Managed to get the car washed yesterday morning and clay it, no polish or wax though as was too damn cold!

Also changed the R badges for new shiny ones as the originals had faded and cracked.

Should be on AP coilovers end of the month! :D unless people can suggest better coilovers for around the £400 market...

Looks good mate, badges tidy it up nicely :D Only other coilovers which are similar price are weitec's which i believe are around the £430 mark i think.

De-badged "Leon" from the boot lid today as well as finally getting it polished and waxed with AG hard wax. Polished the exhaust tip with autosol.

Looks much better now. Will get pictures up tomorrow.

Will be on AP coilovers in couple weeks time when I find time.

Had two new tyres fitted along with swapping front wheel for spare after the valve blew out while i was trying to check pressures on top of the drive. Glad I wasn't driving it at the time as the rubber was ridiculously degraded so could have been a nasty surprise!

Possibly looking at a cobra resonated cat-back exhaust.
Other modifications that are awaiting cash money:

LED interior, numberplate and sidelights.
Uprated headlight bulbs...probably Osram nightbreakers.
New headunit.

Considering getting the alloys powder coated to an Anodised black...that idea could quickly change though!
