I'm 31 been driving 8 years. No claims 11.5kmiles a year, which duly brings me to running s costs .eek!
My pd170 139.9p per liter over 11500 mile/12 month
45mpg = £1625.3 (around the doors taking it easy, wife in passenger seat lol)
40mpg = £1828.46
35mpg = £2089.67 (iv never actually seen below 36mpg average on the mfd,and this is very spirited driving with late heavy braking ,and hard acceleration out of corners and pulling away from the lights)
Petrol 132.9p same again worked out over 11500 mile/12 month
32mpg = £2171.21 ( driving miss daisy from what iv read on here)
28mpg = £2481.39 ( see where this is going , FR average for me maybe)
25mpg = £2779.15 ( cupra average for me maybe)
22 mpg = £3158.13 ( from what iv read I'd have to be going every where with my foot nailed to the floor)
Iv read through many a thread on here about mpg or tried to at least there doesn't seem to be enough results to work out what 2ltubby owners are actually getting on an average, just comments like I drove like miss daisy and achieved 32.4mpg and such.
I'm no stranger to performance cars I used to own a heavily modified Nissan pulsar and averaged 17.7mpg on a steady run at 60-70mpg, on trackdays I'd go through 2 tanks of optimax just on track, a lot of fun and bloody quick , I had it timed at 4.6 to 60mph at yorkraceway at 1 bar boost with air filter and exhaust( 278 bhp) it was biblically faster after I'd modified it quite extensively .
I think owning a diesel has made me tight, as I'm already having second thoughts, I wonder what the average annual mileage is for most FR/cupra owners,
All in all that's just over a grand a year with ved added to run the petrol,maybe a good time to stop smoking
