I've just given them a ring and he said he'd double check but that's the offset the recommend for Cupra R's??? I've had problems along this line when buying from them before it turned into a PITA that time.

ET35's will be fine just get spacers if needed.

If the ET is 35mm and the spec. is more than that, then 35s will sit further out from the car and won't need spacing, in fact the opposite.

I've got these wheels on my FR TDI. I think I fitted ET 35mm rims and no problems but that is only 3mm further out than the standard rims which ISTR were 38mm offset.

The wheels and tyres are 4kg a corner lighter than the originals, but I downsized to 16" and 205/55 tyres from the original (heavy) 17" FR rims and 225/45 tyres. The car handles better thanks to the reduced unsprung mass - it used to feel over-tyred.

The narrower tyres can still handle my 300lbft of torque no problems...

Should have said, the powder-coated finish is quite soft and I've got scratches on my gloss black rims where I've cleaned them with a wheel brush...

I've done a search and some people need a 3mm spacer and some don't with ET35. I just had a look at my spare LCR wheel n the boot and it says 7.5j, 18, ET38. I alway thought they where 8" wide, shows what I know.

Driving around with 18" rims for the last 8 years I've learned to avoid pot holes. At least that was after the second time I split the side wall on a nearly new tyre.

The finish can be a little iffy too, ones in had before we're thinly coated near the centre, also they marked really easily seemed really soft paint)/coating.

Mine are ET35, replacing ET38 standard wheels. I was offered a choice of offsets when I ordered but the wheels were being made to order so I didn't want to risk ET30 in case they rubbed on the wheelarches.

My 16s are 7" wide. I had silver 16s on my previous Focus and the paint (powdercoat) started to fail after a couple of years around the back of the spokes. The latest set I ordered had to go back for re-finishing so I think maybe their paint shop isn't the world's best:(

Potholes and 18" wheels don't mix, at least not round here where there are potholes you could get lost in for weeks

It's a shame the finish isn't great but I bought them for there lightness and price more than looks. I'm going to keep the standard wheels as well and at £147 a wheel it's not going to brake the bank to replace one.
The finish on the Monza II alloys fitted to my old MKV Golf was piss poor. Your lucky to get 12 months out of them before the dreaded alloy worms appeared under the lacquer. There was also a MKV R32 with less than 10k on the clock that hit a pot hole and the spokes fractured from the hub.
Pot holes grrr

My wheels arrived today

Wheel spacers! Me thinks the low price is due to a colour nobody wants and an ET nobody wants.

Terrible spacers...

£147 per wheel without tyres?!

Yes not good spacers! I'm going to make some up from aluminium and use them as a template.
£147 sounds a lot but try buying anything for the price that weighs the same. They look ok to.
