I'm not debating that. I'm saying that it looks like the pipe was not trimmed, and has been fitted under stress.

yep, quite possibly..
some folks dont realise trimming is required..

It should'nt make it delaminate however, thats material failure.. Not autoclaved properly, poor grade materials or some such screw up.

its muchos tight on k03 fitment... damned coolant pipe so so close to the turbo inlet and the turbos nose is short and for the main, shrouded by its compressor cover. Tricky little bar steward I know..

Well you can say its bad customer service from badger but he is here day in, day out giving free advise to people all the time while still tuning cars and running a business. Trying to help others solve problems and common issues without any charge.

Creation are down the down road from me, i've driven into the rear of the workshop by chance and there was some nice cars there incuding golf r32 turbos or supercharged and a few other nice cars.

Badgers main line of work is not to create products, do quality testing, reports etc so its only wise to outsource this to someone who does specialise in it. I think you will find this is how the majority of the retail industry works...

True..

I am not a manufacturer.. I will make the prototypes, do the designs and testing, and then use trusted suppliers to make the production items.. I am a one man band pretty much most of the time. Billets are CNC machined by my good friend nige in Cheltenham, and are lovely pukka precision items... silicon hoses are made fo rme by siliconhoses.com who make Forges hose, are local to me in Gloucester and are very sound guys I have good relationship with. Much as the CM copying my V2 narks me, as it does others who's products they have also copied, it is what it is... Thats the kind of company they are.. Meh.. what can I do.. What I will say is despite competition from others larger bore tips, the Badger5 ones, V2.2 and V3's shift at a healthy rate to many folks, so somethings going ok despite the personal "annoyance" of the likes of copyists. Make a good product, test the crap out of it during development, show folks its real gains, get solid quality and sensible price point and it will find customers. I remain shocked how many TIPs for k04 cars I have sold since the original 3" V1 item... where do they all go?? lol

I remain an enthusiast who happens to have turned hobby into his livelyhood, and "enjoy" helping folks out on forums/facebook/workshop and tuning cars... When some folks keep having pops at me however for irrelevant nonsense it riles me up.. I am but human, but I will defend attacks on my reputation and products to the Death!.... ;)

anyhows.. I hope this concludes the nonsense debate on this particular thread.

cheers
bill

Wasn't ment to be arsy if that's the way it was perceived. Internet allows no emotion lol.

I will be changing to a v2.2 just for the rep and the bad stories I have seen with the cm so far mine is ok thankfully but I won't run the risk long term. My own impatience is the only reason I brought it and was set on the Sfs or badger.

I have learnt my lesson

No I didn't take it as being arsy. I re read what I'd put and realised I could of worded it better. :)

im waiting on my SFS oversize to arrive so will provide logs vs the CM when it arrives, just got to sort an overboosting problem now... first mass underboosting and now soft limp overboosting in 3rd+ over 5k rpm... grrrrr

F*ck off, don't start the "race card" sh*t just because you've got no arguement that stands up.
Didn't really want to get involved but twats like you wind me right up [:@][:@]

Top fella for the above getting very tired of a company bitch fight lol......

I'm wondering if its because my car is pretty much stage two but om.a stage 1 map,it absolutely flies for a stg1 with maf readings peaking at 185g/s
Possibilities of excess airflow for the map? Or am I chatting **** lol

If the new tip is allowing unrestricted flow of air unlike the kinked original you may now be overboosting due to excess air flow. As you improve the flow of air into the turbo you improve the efficiency of the turbo. A custom remap or boost controller connected in parallel with your existing n75 will sort this.

When you say boost controller do you mean an electronic type? Or the simple ball bearing and spring type?

Will the mbc set to 22psi (my max boost) stop overboosting to redline though? My ecu requests 14psi at redline and spikes 15-16 occasionally causing soft limp

ive had the lc and the lcr, the tip on the k03 was a right bar steward to fit,as bill said, coolant pipe in the way and was very tight, lots of pulling swearing and knuckle scraping,
I wasnt looking forward to fitting the forge tip on my lcr, it literally took me 10 mins, nothing in the way, like on the k03

Damn LC180 then ;)

Im driving with a SFS Overbore TIP after having a Toyosports one for some time now. The SFS is way impressive, much thicker material and better quality overall. Also I gained about 6BHP when logging MAF. I've tried dozens of times with the Toyosports TIP and couldnt get it past 220BHP. First try with SFS TIP: 226BHP...

Look at the difference:

Wow awesome input mate, thanks!I'm already seeing maf figures at 186g/s (roughly 236hp)on a stage two map with smic, since. fitted a decat and forge 008 and soon to be fitting a fmic and the sfs oversize ,need my map tweaking to stop surging then I will post results if anybody is interested.

Fitted cm tip cant fault it sports cat is still a restrictive a bit decat non restriction at all
