Soo, got a call to pick up my car this afternoon after having the skirts and spoiler fitted. I'm gutted to say they made a right **** up of it and I went nuts I'm very annoyed to say the least, colour match was way off (they were orange) and it was orange Pealey and very dry in areas and even matt in other areas . I refused to take the car and the sales manager apologised and said he was embarrassed about the work. Gutted.

Sorry to hear that Robbie. Hopefully it will be sorted out pronto! You would think 'how difficult is it to match paint?', especially as paint code is in the boot. It will be class looking once it is sorted. keep the head up.
That's shocking, it's a brand new car! How can you get the wrong paint match on that?! Hope you get it sorted!
It wasn't just the paint match, tbh that was the least of the problems, I bloody hate body shops no one seems to take pride in there work. Looked like a tech done it in the workshop with rattle cans.
I feel like I don't want the car back now and I just saw someone hammering it out of a garage on the way home from work, tempted to drive to the dealer and tell them where to stick it but I love the car.

im sure your be giving them an earful for giving the car a hammering too i know i would especially as im sure you havent hammered it yourself yet.
.. But it's my car to hammer, I paid the deposit and the fee every month for the privilege to do so but I'm running around in a 3cyl 50hp

I just feel I've had the piss taken out of me, I gave the car to them clean, told them I'm in no rush I just want it done properly, they turn the car around in 1 day and hand it back to me covered in crap and body work done by Stevie wonder. Had no phone call today from the sales manager to apologies and tell me what's happening then on my way home from work I see someone driving it.

Go in there and cause hell mate, they cannot justify road testing a car that was only in for some paint, which was done to a poor standard!

Well I went in today to get off my chest how annoyed I was and they again were very apologetic, it's going to a different Bodyshop and its on a high priority list, they have assured me it will be presented like it should as a new car, perfect and with a full tank of fuel.
God help them if its not perfect, watch this space.

Good. As said, it will look well once it is sorted. These cars really need the skirts, spoiler and lowered to really make them look and sit like they should. Don't think I have seen a face lift yet with these additions.
Tonight I fell in love with the ibiza all over again, I picked it up a few hrs ago and after driving the 1.2 for nearly a week it's brilliant to be back in the cupra, it's hard to think they are the same cars.
I spray job is much much much better and I'm a happy bunny again. interested to know if I'm one of the first facelifts to have the kit fitted.
I love it personally, wish I took the pics with the drls on though
