I have terrible road noise on the front of my mk2 more so on the passenger side . I may take the wheel arch liners out and insulate them !!!
Where u get this stuff from ??
Well just finished before the rain come
All I can say is what a difference!! door now sound solid if that makes sense!! first trip up the road and can defo tell its a lot quieter
Take me about five hours in total, front doors are the hardest to do because of the window regs but overall very easy to do and cost me £55
Looking to do this myself too as the road noise can be annoying.
Would you say it was a massive improvement e.g. like being in a Golf (but not a golf lol) as I find them pretty quiet.
Also how much spray glue did you use for the stuff you have stuck now, was it a couple of cans or just one?
Thanks
And yes a big diff! Still loads more i can do but defo worth it tbh it should be there from factory! I have a friend with an audi a3 which was better than the leon noise wise but i would say the leon is now better!
OK, gave this a go over the weekend using the same stuff as the OP.

This stuff seems to have a nasty musty smell which is not at all pleasent. Is that usual and will it go after a bit of time?
Yes it does smell a bit give it a few days before you fit it or fit it and wait for the smell to go!
It smells a bit like rubber
Just make sure you cover as much as you can and try not to leave gaps
Did it make any difference in sound though?
Panic over, smell has gone. Or i'm getting used to it....
