yo guys, have any of you put a universal duel side fmic with pipes together and have the link to the parts i would need for a 180 leon cupra :)

Hey, i was considering this on mine as an alternative to the FMIC but speaking to ****** and a couple of local places they wouldnt consider uprating the SMIC or even adding a second as an alternative to the FMIC for stage 2..

Well the universal cooler ive posted in the link will be a fmic, tbh ill admit it its mainly for the looks

haha fair enough... i did consider it, the guys on ukmkIV reckon its a worthwhile upgrade but speaking to some of the tuners the SMIC won't give amazing gains, or be good enough for a stage 2.... tbh tho if i didnt want to try for a bit more power id probably just do the SMIC...

Some confusion here or maybe its just me. The OP has linked to a single fmic thats a twin pass... not dual smics ala the lcr.

The only concern with the twin pass is the pipework, if the pipework has more twists and turns than the stock one your creating more work for the turbo. Most try to fit fmics with single pass for a smoother run .

It probably wont matter much if its more for looks?

just seems easier than messing on with loads of pipes lol also keep reading about a map sensor? does this mean drilling a hole into the pipe for it to go in or does it just have have to be mounted on to keep it stable? sorry if its a dumb question i'm learning

A "normal fmic" flows better one way in the other way out.
You generally loose the foglights in this situation though.

Yeah map sensor needs to be added it un-screws from the original smic.
