So after having my lcr for around 2months now a shredding the bridgstone potenzas to peices (amazing in the dry, not in the wet) I am buying a new set.
After having a read everyone seems to rate Vredestein ultrac sessanta......
On looking at these I have found Vredestein ultrac vorti which seem to be the newer, next ones up.... just wondering if any one has had these and little bit of advice... looking for good dry and wet grip with a good life in them... for the vorti I can get 200 a pair which I was happy with
Running 225/40 18 btw.

Although I only have a Cupra I got a part of Goodyear Eagle F1 assymetric 2's for £216 from a local guy. Good grip so far.

Yeah have seen alot of guys say thoose, but people commenting on bad ware and not worth the extra compared to the Vredestein. Im new to all this and on all previous cars always ran budgets (clio and fiesta zetec s ) but as previous cars had no powered compared to lcr budgets where fine on them. I just want my traction light to stop flashing and them last till winter at least if not alot longer.

I will say the continental sportcontacts I use are fantastic. They can take a lot of punishment without showing signs of degradation and handle the wet quite well.

I believe the excessive wear issues are supposed to be sorted on the assymetric 2's. I guess I will find out!

I must be such a granny or just lucky with tyres as I seem to get much more life than most on here. Assms were always a soft tyre but still manged 20k from them.

I have Sessanta's on the front and they've been great. Will be changing my rear budgets for another two Sessants's next week to.

Cant comment on the Vorti's but i like the tread pattern on the Sessanta's and they seem to work great so il be sticking with them.

Camskill have on offer on them too at the moment. £89.20 instead of £108.20 in your size!

Been a while , I got Vredestein ultrac vorti and there where worth every penny! Never had any slip even when full on in the wet... and so far 3-4 months in and like new still

It's pretty personal but I've just bought 4 Michelin Pilot Super Sports from Camskill, Exellent all round performance tyre but you pay a premium, vredestein are good but I prefer the feel of super sports myself...

I have leon cupra r... worth the money, went for the vortis as wanted good all round tyre I found a list of top rated tyres and these where 3rd on the list ... link there....can throw into any corner and still okay, drove pretty hard since on and beek down pod 8 times.... still like new

Seem to rate the vortis a bit better but then again the 'mileage driven' is much lower.. maybe when more people start using/reviewing they'll come closer to the sessantas? I guess I would go for either one, both seem very good and prices are attractive too.

True, I tend to do the same straight 2 miles to work and back ... the odd blast at a weekend but still straight roads lol

I'm on a 2nd set of sessanta's. Haven't checked what they covered precisely (fronts), but it can't be more than 8 - 9000 miles, which i dont think is that great, but not sure if anything would be better to be honest, all things considered. Stuck with them just to keep same tyres throughout (rears still fine so have rotated), and they've not let me down on any spirited runs so far (touch wood).

Just ordered a set on Vorti's to go on my LCR, got to be better than my budgets on a stage 2 car! good fun though just scary as.... :)

I bought Michellin Pilot sport 3's very good grip inc in the wet, but I found they wear down pretty quick compared to the Pirelli's I had on before.
