I had to perform an emergency stop in my pd150 leon this morning (made it) however after this the engine stalled after I put the clutch in and won't fire up again.... It cranks over and all sounds normal it just won't start. Any ideas anybody? I've looked in tdi club and checked cam belt, its intact and moves when the engine is turned over, also checked the injector harness that hasn't wound out. The last thing I checked was the fuel filter, I replaced it about 5k ago and its a genuine vw part. It was full of fuel and fuel came out of the pipes. The recovery man thought it was a crash sensor, and the only crash sensors I could find in the net were the ones under the seats that throw an airbag fault. Neither did my air bags deploy, or are there any faults when the car was scanned.
I've read maybe can position sensor or a relay called something like 'p109'

Just a little info, the only thing that's been done on the car in the last week is the roof lining has been changed to black, 4x tyres and bulbs put in the fogs. Tomorrow I plan on ringing darkside and vw in Gloucester and see if they have any ideas?

Any help would be much appreciated as at this moment in time all I want to do us strip the goodies and sell it on.... Got loads of stuff to go on her at the moment too!

Is there some sort of fuel cut-off on these that may have been triggered when you stopped harshly?

The fuel is still priming so the fuel system is ok upto the filter. On darksidedevelopments advice, I'm going to check the return fuel and I'm going to pop a boost pipe and see if the turbo has seized causing too much back pressure for the engine to start :) if not that then ill have to ring vw! The monkeys

Cheers for all your help guys, it was a furling issue. I could smell fuel with the blowers on and checked the filter but didn't think anything of it at the time, turns out the engine was sucking in air so this caused the stall, and after I took the filter out to check it wasn't filled with grit I put the pipes on backwards.... Oops! £65 spent but its solved two problems as the engine doesn't stutter any more :) once again cheers for all your help! John what's up with yours now?

Glad its sorted mate :D

mines just awaiting a new steering rack and track rod ends as there's alot of play in it and causing heavy vibration under breaking. And cause ive changed the ball joints and took the wishbones out, it needs the wheel alignment doing, but there's no point until the new steering racks in. MOT is due end of the month so that's why iam in a rush getting it all sorted.
