Losing company car Saloon Exeo SE Tech ...replaced with Exeo ST Sport Tech :)

Hi All,

As the topic suggest, I am losing my company car very shortly. I have had a 12 plate Exeo for just over a year and it's been great to drive and comfortable - 143 4dr SE Tech.

As such, I am looking to replace it with the Exeo ST Sport Tech (143 - to be remapped probably) for that extra boot space but also why go away from something you like?

I do have a couple of queries though, I hope you all can help with though:

- Is the ride of the sport different to the standard, or am I just paying extra for the alloys & xenons?

- On the xenons point, this will be a 11 plate car so won't have the face lift, are the lights still of good quality?

- I assume there has been quite a few people remapping from 143 to 170+, does anyone have some success stories?

- Finally, I have noticed a lot of talk about this Pioneer system. I never had that previously and to be quite honest didn't know there was an upgrade available! Using the standard sat nav, is there a fix for the 5+ digit postcode entry?

I have a 60 plate with the Xenon HIDs and they're amazing, so much better than standard headlights once it's getting dark. Can't answer the rest of your questions though, mine isn't a Sport Tech.

I went from an SE Tech to a Sport Tech last year.

The ride is a little firmer on the Sport Tech but it's not too harsh. Obviously being stiffer and lower the Sport handles a bit tidier and doesn't roll as much as the SE Tech. My "old" SE looks almost on stilts parked next the Sport Tech (still got it, it's a pool car now on my fleet at work!).

I don't know about the headlights because I specced my SE with Xenons

Re the 5 digit postcodes, as far as I am aware there's no fix for the RNS-E unit. Both my cars came with the factory BOSE set up and it's really good, I can't fault the way the nav works.

My advice is to find a car with the factory set up. The Pioneer unit was fitted to some cars in lieu of the RNS-E due to component supply issues. There have been plenty complaints about the Pioneer kit. It does a few things differently / nicer to the factory unit but quality has been a concern.

Well ive made the purchase, SE Tech in the end, dealership let me down on the sport model.

My bluetooth microphone seems to not be working, has anyone else had this?

Nope both mine seem to be ok.

Enjoy the car, the SE Tech is a decent place to spend time.

I found it a waste of space even when it was working. I could never get it to recognise commands reliably, and the bluetooth contact list is different to the contact list on the phone anyway!.

I use the menu to call and simply use the voice command for redial. I couldn't figure out how to properly use it and couldn't find a manual to help either.
