A brand new one from TPS is £300+ and a weeks wait.

A Bosch unit re-manufactured from TPS or from ECP should be the same I thought?

Might be an option to try a SEAT dealership and not just TPS....I've learnt recently that TPS are not always cheaper.

I think we all use the exchange ones, dealers do too. I think there must be different grades of sensor as some cheap ones dont work well yet tps/dealer are usually perfect.

I've heard of numerous motor factors around my way 'Re-branding' a product. Unless it actually has a Bosch marking and number/s on it. I wouldn't touch it.

I think even then its only marked on the tube rather than the sensor its which is removable. Cant win can you..

Unfortunately not. I have to try shift genuine Peugeot parts for a living... It's a right chore :(

The £90 ones from TPS or a VAG dealer are all re-manufactured. They come in a Bosch sealed box with stickers all over them saying so, I actually went to TPS, Seat and Audi parts and got them to show me.
My local Audi did have a brand new one in stock £305 +VAT.

So, I went to Euro and looked at one there, I know they do cheaper ones, but I asked for the Bosch one at £62. and it was identical, same box, same seal on the box, same re-made labels.

I went with the one from ECP and all is fine so far, only time will tell now.
Currently my findings have lead me to believe that as long as it's branded Bosch and not some unknown brand, it's the same re-made part. More than likely refurbished at the same place to the same Bosch quality control standards.

I expect you will be back in a month to tell us its failed.
Yes the dealer ones are recon, but for some reason they last and ECP ones don't even though they are identicle.

I had 3 on the run from GSF and all lasted about 10k. In the end I got a refund and went to TPS. Was about 70 plus vat exc but that was in 2007!.
Still I wouldnt get anything electrical sensor from anybody but TPS/Vw.
