Hi guys,

I have a mark 3 Seat Ibiza cupra R, it has been playing me up recently.. engine management light has come on and the fault codes i'm getting are...

16804 - "catalyst system bank 1 efficiency below threshold

17536 - "long term fuel trim mult, Bank 1 system to lean" (P1128)

While driving the car from cold my turbo still cuts in fine but as soon as my engine warms up it wont go over 3K revs without hiting almost like a rev limiter and back firing, also if I carry on running my car it will go into a I limp mode , but quickly re-starting it will take it out of limp mode but still no go over 300 revs,

Anyone got some ideas ? heard a few things about maf sensors ?

Have you got any thing resistored out on the loom?
And when back firing does lots of black smoke come out the back?

Problem

No it doesn't seem to be smoking under the misfire, was going to clean the MAF tonight, I tried unplugging it last night but the problem still occurred, have also checked all my plugs and they look perfect, Coils are in good condition.. O2 sensor maybe, not to suree
