If I've been driving, get out, take keys with me and don't lock the doors, should the TDi Sport lock itself after a period of time? Or does it just auto lock when you unlock and don't open a door?
Pretty sure they just lock if you unlock and then don't open a door.
I thought they auto locked if/when the key lost contact with the car.
Left mine open in a fuel station, went of to pay with the key in my pocket and on returning it was locked, should this not have happened then..
the car will lick it self automatically
Wonder what parts it licks?!?
as said above the doors should auto lock if you unlock but don't actually open the door.
On a side note, how impressive is the range on the remote, i've managed to unlock the car from the office before, must be a good 150-200yds!!
mine auto locks if i am not close to the car for a duration of time, tried and tested.
if you hold the fob to your head it can almost double the range. Don't know if it zapps your brain though.
do you have keyless entry then? Otherwise yours is the only mk2 leon with this feature. On the mk2 key proximity is not measured. Auto locking only works if you drive at more than 10 mph (anti hijack) or if the car is unlocked but no doors are opened within about 2 minutes.
