Yeah that's too much for sure. I suspect that china will kick in and cheaper versions will be sold. I fancy the idea of just replacing the spot and connecting a few extra wires.
 
I just swapped the bulbs for LED H3 replacements and use them along with sidelights in bright conditions. Since they're not actually that bright they're not blinding like halogen bulbs and whilst it's not strictly legal I've not had anything beyond a raised eyebrow from cops. Loads of cars these days have DRL's in fogs running way brighter than anything able to fit as a straight swap in our fog light bulb holders.

I tried this on my C70 spots. Gave a nice blue ish light at night but really too dim in the day to be much good. I tend to drive with my crappy pencil side lights on and the spots in dull weather. Not been pulled yet but something legal would be better.
