My car ordered 15th Nov should be arriving at the dealers this week. It's not here yet, so that means tomorrow or Friday. I'm surprised as I wasn't expecting it - the build date originally was for wk2 2014.

Wow great result mate not long now, I bet you're getting excited!

I'm in a similar situation as you, was told my car landed in Tyne port on 31st Dec. Just waiting for it to be delivered to the Dealer so they can carry out the PDI and then I can collect it. Signing finance papers on Friday so hopefully be able to pick it up soon. I ordered mid Oct though so slightly longer wait but am also getting excited now! :)

I'm not counting my chickens but assuming I will pick it next week sometime :)

I'm picking my car up Tuesday morning, I'm very excited :D
Have you heard anything with regards to yours?

My car took just over 12 weeks but others have got there's in about 9 weeks. I guess it will depend what options you spec as this could delay the build.

Its actually not arrived yet, due for delivery at the dealers on Monday and I'm able to collect a couple of days after. I went in to sign the finance paperwork today and had a sit in one to "remember" what it was like - Its such a vast improvement over the current ibiza and leon mk2, it seems so much better sound insulated too. I'm guessing thats because a lot of the hard plastics have now gone and been replaced with a softer touch plastic/rubber.

:) sorry, I posted because I thought you may want to know that not everyone has to wait as long and maybe you could use that for your case with SEAT. I posted my spec also as maybe yours is delayed due to SEAT being short on stock of something you want.

Would be nice to know when I'm getting my car. Told by franchise it would be with them on the 14th Jan. However, even though the car was completed on the 20 Dec. Seat UK have just informed me it is still in Barcelona and don't know when it will be shipped. Have raised a complaint with them with the view to cancelling the order.

Yay! Finally got my hands on my car today and I am very pleased with it so far, really happy with it. Everything is perfect and can't find any faults! :D :D

Here is how long it took from order to collection for me to give new buyers an indication of possible waiting times:
Date Ordered: 15th Oct 2013
Date Car Built: 13th Dec 2013 (build wk 50)
Date Arrived at Barcelona Docks: 17th Dec 2013
Date Arrived in UK: 1st Jan 2014
Date Arrived at Dealer: 9th Jan 2014
Date of Collection: 14th Jan 2014

So for me it worked out about 3 months wait, but now I have the car the wait has been worth it!

For those interested, I have tested the kerb view function on passenger mirror whilst reversing and it looks like SEAT have fixed the issue!!

You can set the angle you want the mirror to dip when put in reverse, my default position from the factory was rubbish unless the kerb was 2ft tall!
The change can be done by moving the mirror switch position to L, put the car into reverse, then adjust mirror to desired position, then take the car out of reverse and it stores that position. The mirror will dip when reverse gear is engaged and then it will go back to original position after any of the following conditions are met:
1) You drive off
2) You change the mirror switch to a different position, like 0 or R for example
3) You switch your engine off

Also couple of quick photos of my car I took with my phone. Will get some better pics up when the weather is nicer :)

AJ is the Technic grey darker than Mansoon Grey, I can't really tell, thou the pictures have helped....
Any chance of some more pictures put in the colour thread :)

I've been told i can order in the next couple of weeks for delivery in march before my current Mk2 needs its MOT.

Just the colour to decide on!

LOOKERS Seat Stockport.

I'm not overly concerned as they have stated they will pay for the MOT if the new car doesn't arrive and not to service it before it goes to them as they will do it.

Good Aj, doesn't get any better than that :D

I'm glad the mirror dip is sorted, dont know why they had problems in the first place as the way you've described the operation of it mirrors my 5 year old Golf Mk6 so it's hardly new technology.

Where do you acquire the exact the dates for the different stages of transit?

Happy motoring :)

@JamMonkey
Somebody else got the Monsoon Grey and put up some nice clear pics, I recall Aj commenting on them, take a look at his posts through the profile and you should come across them.

Hi Mate, I would say that the Technic Grey is a brighter grey than the Monsoon Grey as it has hints of bronze in the colour whereas Monsoon Grey has a hint of blue. Sorry about my rubbish pics as the colour does look darker, the car was also under a roof :)

For other examples of the colour below are a couple of pics I took pre collection (whilst car had just been delivered) and also another member bdenson picked up a technic grey Leon and posted up a pic in post #351 of this thread.

Also a pic of the colour at the motor show earlier this year, this photo made me change my order from Monsoon Grey to Technic Grey :)

When the weather gets a bit brighter and I can get better pics to show a better representation of the colour I will post it in the colour thread :D

Hope this helps you buddy!
