Yeah true, the Ibiza cupra is only auto and I've had an Ibiza for four years now so would like something different. I'd prefer a super mini, I went for the Leon because it was new and I like it a lot. I will have to test drive the fiesta first before I decide but it is cheaper. I just want a new car now as had enough of mine.

When I was looking at changing 3 months ago, I was looking at the Leon or the Fiesta ST too (I had the previous gen ST and loved it) but ultimately for me it came down to levels of kit and running costs.

The ST can't even be specced with cruise control (not even optional at the time, think it is now an option) and even in ST2 trim with every option it has less kit and is not as nice a place to spend time as in the Leon.

Haven't regretted my decision yet, but maybe I'm getting old??

I thought the sales man said it had cruise, oh well, the Leon definitely is a nicer place to sit and is ample quick enough for every day driving. I did go in looking for a 125 zetec s but it had horrible seats. The seats in the fiesta are soooo comfy. Will have to do the sums properly and make my decision.

Morning all,

Three weeks apparently till it lands at the dealer, nicely timed for a March collection :)

Suppose I'd better start wading through the threads for all the non led bulbs changes and get ordering, with hindsight I should have pasted them all into a worksheet at the time.

Already got the wax & polish on standby, Autoglym SRP & FinishKare 1000P. Living on the coast I'm prone to more than my fair share of bird droppings

It'll be sad to see the Golf go tbh, five years without a hitch, sailed through every MOT, not even a blown bulb. On the flip side, curious to see how this new 1.4 engine performs in comparison to the old 1.4, the figures make for good reading. Reliability? time will tell.

Only waited 5 days - but I did cheat by picking FR 1.8 spec that was already in UK. NVH in a new league compared to previous three Leons (2xMK2, 1xMK1). Disadvantage of quick delivery is that it doesn't have dipping mirrors in reverse (must have been in the gap when they stopped doing this).

Just had my provisional build week of 11. Early March. Fingers crossed for late March delivery but could be April.

Hopefully they'll move it forward a bit if I'm lucky. :)

Do you think it would make much difference to the trade in value having a 63 plate over a 14 plate in three years time?

Mine is in transit so 4 weeks at the max I think.

You'll be lucky. Mine was ordered 21st Nov, build in week 6, early Feb so it was meant to be for a 1st Mar delivery but they now say it could be 3rd week which has really pissed me off to the extent I am thinking of cancelling the order.:(
