This weekend saw me porting the relentless manifold. I've been putting this off for a while, as I was expecting it to be a nightmare.
Surprisingly, it went as easy as pie. I'd have liked to remove a bit more material but felt this was about as far as I could go.

Collector before

It didn't need a lot taking out of it. I just opened it up a bit to help as much as possible

Runners Before

And after

I'm still picking bits of stainless out my hair

I had a little mishap bolting up the manifold :(

Managed to get it out without removing the manifold though (was the last nut I tightened)
So thats all sorted.

A few more powdercoated bits on

I think I'll need to replace the plastic timing cover. The sticky mark won;t come off no matter what I try

Next up, drilling and tapping my brand new hybrid for an EGT sensor

Looking good! Proof that you can actually manage without me :p

Although… how did you manage to break the manifold stud, weren't you torquing them all?

I think the torque wrench jammed. Although it didn't feel that tight when it snapped. Maybe just a weakness in the stud.

That's what happens when you buy cheap tools from a dodgy character

Couple of deliveries today to keep me busy over the holidays

You wouldn't believe that's £90 worth :-o

I actually got this during the Black Friday sale. Stealth catch can, shifter bushes and map sensor adapter, all from 42draft. The discount was so good that the bushes and map sensor adapter were free :)

The eagle eyed, will also see some poly mix in the background for my engine mounts

Postman has been a busy boy today
I was never happy with my stereo, and end of the year sales meant it was time for a replacement

As soon as I have a battery back in the car, I'll get it fitted

Few more updates ( I haven;t really done a lot this past month, but its slowly moving along)

First up - Heat wrapped downpipe

Then a lovely parcel from TSR

So on with splitting the box

Drill out the rivets to remove the ring gear

Old vs New

Ring gear ready for fitting

Pressing in the new ARP bolts

And pressing on the ring gear

I'm currently waiting on a couple of shims, then the box can get soda blasted and I can start re-fitting it proper :D
