Now that the production of Exeo's has stopped, and I also think it's the same with Altea's, does anyone know if Seat plan to replace these models with anything else?

The new Toledo is meant to replace the Exeo Saloon, & the Leon ST will replace the Exeo Estate.

Not sure about the Altea, although SEAT is working on a new SUV, maybe that will be an indirect replacement

The Toledo though is nowhere near as nice and built as well as the Exeo...

Why didn't they just develop the Exeo further... update the dash a bit, redesign the rear tailgate, they could still do a lot with it to make it into a newer model...

I think we were all lucky with the Exeo tbh and I'll even say this here...I most likely won't be buying a SEAT once the Exeo either is replaced or steps aside as a second car for us.

Agreed ^^^^^ :)

Mind you, the Leon FR is very very nice, but whilst the build quality is good, it's still in a different league from the Exeo. It still feels a class below

Just had a look through the brochure, the Leon ST looks nice, could live with that, not as nice as the Exeo but much nicer than the new Tolly. I've got an Altea at the moment but want an Exeo when I can afford to change cars, couple of years away as yet unfortunately, so will be looking for a very late model.

You wouldn't be disappointed with an Exeo....

I've only had mine since November and it still makes me think "Glad I bought this" every time I drive it.

I think Seat have said they're doing another Exeo but it will be more of a Seat product than a Audi hand-me-down not sure what to make of that - I can't see there was any great need to drop the Exeo because of some bit of legislation or not so they could have kept selling it until Audi were done with the B8 and taken that, I suspect it's replacement will be less well made.

Unfortunately the mid-saloon sector is a shrinking in favour of new sub-niches - personally and obviously I'm biased, but I don't know why there's not a sea of Exeos in every carpark up and down the land.

Audi fit and finish, which means there are very few, if any, cars you can buy with a better put together interior and it's handsome (to me) especially with the facelift grill and it's better in a lot of ways than the A4 it's based on.

Yes technically the chassis design is 10 year old now, so it's smaller than a lot of current cars in it's segment, but it's not old fashioned - the suspension design is newer and the drivetrain is current so you've got the advantage of a car that been through a few revisions and has NO KNOWN FAULTS.

And it's cheap too - a rebadged premium saloon with 'sporty' image, current level Technology and loads of kit for - LESS than a base spec Mondeo.

As far as the Altea is concerned, VW have brought out the Golf Plus replacement, called the Sportsvan, in Germany. it will be introduced in the UK, but under a different name, mid-2014.

If SEAT were to introduce a new Altea, one would think it might be based on that model, but the VW has to appear first.

Asonda.
After having an Altea, an Altea XL 170 and then an Exeo ST TSI I have changed to a Golf GT estate. Every time I changed previous cars the spec and quality got better. The idea was a Leon ST but when I sat in the Leon I felt disappointed and I realised how spoilt I had been with the Exeo.
Luckily the company has kept the car as a pool car so every now and then I go for a drive (read trash) to remind me how good it still is.

Not sure that I've seen a Leon ST in the flesh but pictures of it look good. As I said it'll be a couple of years before I change my car and will be looking for an Exeo estate for about £10k, hopefully should be able to get a very late model with reasonable miles and spec'd up for that money.

I was initially in the dealership test driving and running the numbers on a new Leon ST, however when I saw and sat in the the Exeo in the used car section my attention was drawn away from the Leon ST almost straight away.

The Leon ST nice though it is, isn't as nice a place to sit. Looks wise to me I think it looks great but I've not felt I've made the wrong choice buying the Exeo yet!

Shame SEAT canned the Exeo, but it means we can get our hands on a great car for bargain money. I doubt SEAT will build another car like it unfortunately, however that just means I'll have to keep the SEAT for many years! I really like how exclusive it feels, I can count on one hand the others I've seen on the road since owning it. We should wave at each other heh.

Devoured1 - you'll be able to get a nice car for that money in a couple of years....

Tony Lawrence - well you'll have to keep taking the Exeo ;)

Decadent - Yes I was never a SEAT fan and when we went to buy our Exeo in November we had a good play around with the new Leon too and it just wasn't the same. I'm very happy with our purchase.

Just means next time around we go for something different, I'm 'Hoping' in 3 years when the finance ends on the Exeo...this will move to our 'second' car and I am wanting a Jag XF (new model will be out then)...

New Exeo looks nice but it would be disappointing if the build quality and materials are not as good as the current Exeo.

More petrol engines next time too please!

Don't like it...funny how the images say Exeo but article is Altea....

What I read was that the Exeo was a stop gap and there was a need for SEAT to have a mid sized saloon in their line up and the whole Audi deal did them a huge favour to get their face in the game...

Well it certainly did that but the reason I bought the Exeo in the first place was because of the quality of the thing, it wasn't because I'm a fan of SEAT because I'm not, I've never owned one before...

Looks as if us Exeo lovers will be Audi drivers in a few years :)

To me the first car looks like a photoshop (badly) botch of a Leon, with the second looking like a genuine model and replacement for the Altea.

Neither strike me as an Exeo replacement.

Well the 2 years I was going to wait before buying an Exeo turned out to be 7 months :)
Picking up a 12 plate metallic grey 143 TDi ST Tech next week, can't wait!

Just to go back to what Peejay said. I had the older A4 the Exeo is based on as a company car a few years ago and when the lease was up kept it as a second car until recently and the updated power train and suspension in the Exeo makes the Exeo a much better car to drive.
