well after 130 miles and a little over 2hrs later I got it home, I got this car so so cheap I couldn't not buy it. Just spent £160ish in GSF, Battery, Disc's n Pad's, Rubber mount thingy's ect ect.... may need a few other bit's still, O also a clean.

Take the aux belt off, try and jam the alternator with something then check the pulley spins one way only, it 's supposed to be clutched and should freewheel one way and not the other, if it's solid it's knackered.

The pulley on the alternator or the tensioner, sorry to ask but why jam the alternator?

Altenator clutch pulley, pretty common fault on these. Makes the whole engine vibrate.

Thanks for the info, So could I get a new clutch for the alt or will I need a new whole one? And that silver thing that's vibrating real bad in the video is it fine? Is it the alt that's making it do that? Tar.

Thank you so much for your kind comment, it was a right mess when I got it! I'm looking on finding a plastics company to manufacture a center console to house a aftermarket sat nav as the double din facia is mad expensive ( god knows why ) planning to get cupra r front and rear bumpers also 18" ch reps a nicer looking aerial, install led's for the exterior door handles and remap!!! So yeah a little bit to do

Hey mate, you live near by huh?? I'm in Taunton, I have the full Cupra fr interior door cards and seats all in black mate, pm me if interested, saves you rubbing down and spraying. As for the question, I rubbed down with 1000 grit sanding block, covered leather with prep paper, masked off, then used pre paint solvent to get rid of all dirt then used black standard primer followed with Matt black plasticoat. Took about 3hrs from removing prepping painting and installing .

Hey, I bought them from a garden sale the chap said they were from his Cupra R but wrote it off, grabbed the seats and cards for £100.
Question: Did the leons come with memory function? If so then yeah these must of come from an cupra r mate. Cheers

have a listen and tell me if its right or not, tdi 150 cupra.
Sometimes the car fly's and sometimes it makes a louder sucking noise with less power.
