God I'm so gutted! Going up a hill today in 6th and the clutch started slipping :'( now 12 miles later it slips in 3rd upwards! Has done 85 thousand on a standard clutch with standard power. I have no money and still gotta pack the car with two weeks of holiday gear to get home 90 mile away, I'm dreading it!! So when I get paid I want a stage 1 map Badger 5 and a clutch, any pointers on the one I should get? I'm a steady driver and mainly do motorway miles, £700 budget. If I could find a good guide I'd happily give this a go by myself, anybody know the hours and tools involved? Cheers peeps.
Thanks for your reply mate. Are MR CLUTCH any good as I've requested a quote from them and the cost with them is pretty much half price at £349.00 supplied fitted and vat! With a two year warranty.
Most people wouldnt trust mr clutch. I might use then if I had a small engine petrol car but not on a moden diesel with a dmf. Was that price for the dmf too? If so you couldn't even buy a luk dmf and clutch for that. I would be worried what quality the parts are that they use.
I think so mate, all in £345 I just put in my Reg number and got a quote, does make me wonder if it's right as it is half the price. Anyone on here had a Mr Clutch experience??
Sounds very cheap. I would worry about the quality of the parts or even if they would replace the dmf? My brother used then years ago for a clutch on his sierra and they fitted something wrong on the prop shaft which made the whole car vibrate! They sorted it very quickly though. Never used then since though. Plus if your remapping your car you might need an uprated clutch to take all the extra torque.
Liam the 1st thing i would try for your poor mpg is millers diesel power ecomax. my last diesel car the mpg was terrible and after a few shots of this stuff it shot right back up into the high 40's. it's worth a try 1st at £13 ish.
That ok mate. I just wondered if changing the dials to white made the display white when the lights are on? I didn't know if the bulbs are red or if the dials gave the colour?
Tbh mate in the day time I need to turn down the brightness slightly as some digits are hard to see, so in the day it's red needles and grey digits and at night red n white, looks lush got a few pic of what I do if anyone's intrested in doing it.
