I don't think seat use the TD1 system at the moment, I know Audi do, Think VW do but not heard about it with SEAT.

I had previous experince that tuning boxes most likely would mess your car up, Thats for sure!.
Just want a propper map and there will be a port flash, No way iam taking out the ecu.
There are insurance u could get if you a worried, Drivetrain and engine, I will consider that for my self anyway.

Not so much that, I was meaning the code that flags up if the ecu is messed with. Are you guys expecting them to get round that or are you not bothered?

Any news at the cai front??, Just read that Apr due to release port flash any time soon for cupra and golf R:funk:. And got an email from milltek that they have a test car some where in "europe" with their 3 inch on. Release info comming very soon.

WVR are about to release their induction kit, should be a decent bit of equipment.

and i dont understand what testing they are doing on the dp, cant believe its any different from the gti.

APR say no need to take ECU out on the petrols, but they do on the tdi's summat about Siemems or Bosch.

I'd be very surprised if they didn't, same engines and ecu logic surely!

rumour has it they now do, however these are pretty solid engine what are you expecting to go wrong, turbo goes, get a bigger one :)

HOWEVER, one of the lads on the golf forum has just reported his DSG has completely failed, so i'd be worried if i didnt stick with a manual.

I am thinking of getting a milltek cat back non-resonated fitted once i got my car. Then i will wait and see for a while. I am driving pretty much per year so i could be a good idea to wait a couple of months for ecu.

Running one now mate on my smaller turbo good for 300, 350 on yours 20mins to fit at the mapping is by shark so it's the best tuning box you'll ever get

sounds good:), Is it difficult to install or are there detailed instructions?.
Would the dtuk be fine combined with a milltek cat-back non resonated when it comes.

i cant imagine they will bring out software that everyone in the vag world is waiting for an offer 30% discount on it, wouldnt be surprised if they dont bring it out until the sale is over.

Going back to the original thread title, I have found that replacement panel air filters are available. The OE paper air filter part number is 5Q0129620B for the UK Cupra models which is the same as installed in VAG group 1.6 TDI,2.0TDI,1.8TSI and 2.0TSI 2013 onwards engines. Even though they are not as good as a CAI filter installation, though all Leons do have CAI air filter boxes as standard, but probably not as efficient as a performance ones, the only reason to change the standard filter is to save money in the long term through being able to clean the cotton/ foam filter thus you buy one filter for the life of the car. Any performance increase will be minimal due to the design of the original air box and not the paper air filter. So here are the part numbers from the more common air filter manufacturers;
