Moody, I'll do a clear vid tomoz morning and post it, I've finally got a few hours to mess with the motor and check for leaks splits and so on...... I know one of my egr bolts are missing so will sort that first.

OK mate cool.. Would love to sort out problem with mine as I do love the car but it's now getting frustrating and I can't afford to just chuck money at it.. Oh and backbox delete does sound nice. I got mine done for £80 with oval tip welded..

If you have bolts missing from your EGR pipe then it is most likely the noise that you are hearing.

Definitely get that sorted before anything else.

Bearings in the turbos don't usually go unless been overboosting or run dry of oil, if it's loud then maybe there is a leak?

If you have vagcom and log channels 3,8,11 and either email them too me or upload them here I'll look over them for you guys.

Hey Adam unfortunately I only have vcds lite Tbh mate the oils never dropped, taking the kids to school in a bit will try and do a good sounding vid

I haven't got vagcom either may have to invest in a lead a borrow someone's laptop. Then I haven't a clue on using the software lol.. Oh the exhaust centre supplied and fitted my tip sorry supersticky.. Meh can't post pics yet

I would get the bolt sorted on your egr. Any leaks are going to cause problems.

Mine only does it when I hold it around 2.5k revs up a slight hill which is full boost I think..

I tell you what I have noticed. When I first start the car and drive it, it seems ages for turbo to start working like a good minute or so.. I was told this was normal by a friend is this true?

I'm fairly sure you get full boost from cold but I might be wrong.
It is strongly advisable not to use full boost as the oil will not be hot enough and you could cause damage to the turbo.

The exhaust looks good by the way.

Yeh aware of damaging turbo when cold but was wondering if there was some sort of system in place that stopped it working fully until it's happy that the oil is circulating. .
