Hi all! Looking for insight and guidance in a crucial descision
I am about to take delivery of a Cupra 280 next week Or possibly the week after that. The car in question was on order by the dealer already when I swiped it, however the deal isnt finalised yet and I'm getting cold feet over the now available Performance Pack... I want it, or to be honest I have to have it, at least I have to get the lighter wheels and the brembo 370 mm breaks, sure I'd take the side skirts and useless rear window "spoilers" but wheels and breaks are where it's at for me.
Now the dealer says that "sure, the wheels and front breaks will be possible to retrofit after ordering them as spare parts" however, since the Performance Pack is so new (only available since today in online config) they don't have spare part numbers yet so I can't get even a rough estimate of what 4 wheels and front breaks would cost...
Here is where anyone with previous experience of ordering wheels, brake kits, or other pieces of kit as spare parts can impart their wisdom... How does the pricing of parts usually compare to the price of the same stuff but from factory? I realise that this probably differs a lot but I'm desperate
hey, maybe someone is sitting on inside info into this precise question... Likely? No. Impossible? No, well all but...
Now for the kicker, if I pass up on this Cupra and place an order of my own, with factory mounted Performance Pack, I can expect delivery... waiiit for it.... around christmas!!! For real, sooo... not really psyched about that
For everyones information, PP is available for online config in Sweden as of today, priced at 23900 SEK roughly £2200 + 5000 SEK / £450 for semi slicks.
