Should I expect my dealer to let me know when my order gets assigned a build week, when it gets to docks for shipping etc?

Just wondering how long after ordering I can expect to know when it will be build.

I guess it depends on the dealer? The one we used for the latest car was OK, but I didn't get many updates. Usually get better info by phoning Seat customer care.

The Seat dealer network isn't great to be honest. Love the cars, but the dealers I've had contact with have all been pretty poor to deal with.

The tight old git in me would be holding off til Tuesday for a full 12 months tax. You'll be losing a whole 15 quids worth!

:D

That is a good point, but I think I'll actually save money. Reason is that my insurance renewal was on the 16th of June and I'll be able to effectively change the car without any admin fees, as it's still just within the 14 day cooling off period. Might even get a slight refund, hopefully, as the Cupra is in a lower group!

:)

Just me so far, don't give up though they will buckle.
Is your dealer backing you up on this? Mine was fantastic.

Personally I will raise my concern with Seat UK my self rather than getting the dealer involved, that way I will know whats happening, dealers can't update you on car builds so I don't hold no hope with an updated to a complaint.

Call customer care yourself, as soon as I intervened
they changed there stance.
Your dealer might not have your back.

So you didn't want leather seats, but then complained that they weren't leather so that you ended up with exactly what you wanted for free?

Thats pretty much exactly what happened its only because i saw another fella post on here that he got his for free because they wasn't leather seat uk didn't put up any fight though dealer called them and said i didn't want to pay because they weren't leather and they said ok no problem anybody who has ordered buckets and been told they will be leather shouldn't have any trouble saving themselves £1200 which is a lot of money for something that should have been standard
