Is it worth getting the stage 2 box for the 1.6 TDI 105?

It's obviously pretty slow so what numbers would you expect to see?

If you go onto DTUK site and enter your car details it will show you this: (in brackets is the increase)

Make / Model Leon SC (2013-) 1.6 TDI 105 PS Stage 2 (CRD-T)
Standard KW (PS) 77 (105 PS)
Tuned KW (PS) 99 (135 PS)
Standard Torque 250 Nm
Tuned Torque 320 Nm

Thanks, that's not too bad! I'll be looking into this.

I ordered a CRD-T+ Trevor box yesterday afternoon after a couple of conversations with Andrew on the phone regarding set up and insurance etc. The box has arrived today and is currently sat on my desk waiting for me to take it home and install it.

I will report back on the difference it makes to performance, but for now I certainly recommend calling into the office at DTUK and speaking to Andrew and he can put to rest any fears you may have over warranties, insurance, performance or anything else. Top notch service and super fast delivery!

How did your insurance company take it? Mine state they dont allow any mods bar cosmetic ones so I look like having to wait.:(

I think it varies wildly depending on your insurance company. Mine were fine about it.

Does anyone know what price Trevor is? I was set to but the stage 2 box but if there isn't much difference in price then I'll get a Trevor next week

If you order a CRDT at £365.95 you'll receive "Trevor" in it's place at no extra cost :)

For anyone that's hesitant, I heard nothing but good things about these boxes on Astra Owners Network when I had my Astra (in terms of both economy and power!) :)

Ok great I assume that the mode settings do not adjust the power just the way it is delivered then ?

I'm tempted to get one of these boxes but most of the time my other half drives the car and she does tend to have a lead foot lol how easy is if to disable the box or is there a basis no extra horses setting ?

Pop the bonnet and press a button for 3 seconds and the box is off :)

Trevor Fitted

Had Trevor in for 2 weeks now and covered 1000 miles. Have had no issues at all and love the extra power when needed.
As others have already stated the power delivery is smooth all of the way through but you can definitely feel it. I have it on 3 + 1 but haven't tried ant others apart from 1 + 1 when I first got it fitted for testing , I even noticed increased power on that setting.
Haven't looked too much into the fuel consumption yet but doesn't seem much different even though I have had a bit of a heavy foot lately.

Another bonus is it does actually take 5mins to take off or fit.:D
