Nice update.

What widths did you go on the wheels?

Thanks dude. I went 8.5j et40 all round. Et35 would have been perfect on the front as I do get a tiny bit of rubbing at high speed cornering, not a fan of stretch though.

I had mine machined different et front and back. For fitment

I remember reading that, however as I went for the 8.5 et40, et 40 shares the same amount of concave as the et30, and how they do this is reduce the material thickness on the hub section. I don't have enough thickness to machine back. Maybe a few mm but not enough to make a real difference.

Hey Sam don't know if you remember me but I bought some mk1 fog lights of you for a CupraR in Bristol. Nice too see you have a mk2 check out my readers ride, I also have a custom rear bumper like jakes one just was done slightly differently and the reflectors were kept in. Hope your enjoying the car, shame I didn't see you at Gti inters

Yeah the 8.5 has a very nice concave for the wheel size. Esp compared to a grid 8.5
Much nicer wheel than the grids that's for sure.

Car looks stunning, Im hoping one day my black mk2 will look nearly as good.
Can you pm me a link to where you bought the radio from at all please?

Its a company called witson in china. Although if you look on the mk2 leon section there is a uk seller that goes by the name of veyron iirc.

Of course I remember. We were building my engine in the mk1 at the time. Hope your well. I will have a scan through your readers ride.

That's because the photos make the spokes look like the outter edge of the wheel. There is another lip that seems to get missed, blended in with the tyre. Up close that look much bigger.

This photo is a good one for showing the full size.

Stretch tyres is a no no for me as I like to go for proper drives and not safe in high speed corners. Seen too many pop off the rim.

Ok so had a good productive weekend in preparation for mapping.
So the tasks done are as follows.
New cam follower fitted.
New rs4 valve fitted with the inlet mani still left in place.
New Oem dumpvalve fitted.
Carbon canister removed.
Catch can now refitted with much more space.
Fuel tank breather system now fitted after the removal of the carbon canister.
Dv return hose modified and tidied up.

Rs4 valve

On Saturday night I took the car for a good blast, playing with the liquid gauge.
Look at this comparison

Vs my dyno run the other day

0.1 bhp out

Anyway one last job before mapping, next weekend I will change my spark plugs.

Getting excited now.
