Your entire car is held together by screws!

Hubbly's diffuser is like the cupra r one in that you cut down your original diffuser and only the bottom half is new, top half is the original.

So does mine, I assume it has a pretty tight fit hence won't come away at the top. Might have to use some more 'secure' screws for the number plate. It might be lightweight which would help. They've taken nearly 2 years - I'd hope in that time they'd have considered all the problems and these have been worked around.

Screws/bolts same thing nearly.

Looking at the shape of it and how it curves round the bumper I imagine the number plate screws aren't load bearing and are just more of a 'in case' type thing and that the screws underneath are the main support.

To be honest I have been waiting for this diffuser for so long I am not even too sure if I want it anymore. I think I built it up so much in my head that I thought they were going to come out with something amasing. I am not dissing what they made, I like that it isnt over the top, and quite understated which i think fits the car perfectly but for some reason which I cant really explain it seems like a bit of an anti climaz when youve been waiting soooooo long.

I noticed you have VCDS (Jarre) at the bottom on your posts, do you use it for tunes/logs etc?

Im not keen on the idea of it having no fixings at the top, i dont use screws for my number plates i use the sticky pads.

Sounds like they've slightly rushed and bodged the design to be honest

I've used it to make modifications but not done any logging with it yet

It's taken nearly two years so hardly rushed. As Andy says the front splitters screw in, mines held on with self tappers not even nut and bolts and it's solid, been on way over a year now.

I don't have screws in my number plate either, but I do use number plate holders as i have pressed plates.

Well here it is! I bloody scratched it with a screwdriver but you can't see it unless pretty close.

Fitting was a bit harder than expected due to screwing the number plate on, quite difficult to work out where the previous holes are. Will also try and have a play at some point to see if I can get it a bit more flush. This may be due to my damaged bumper though as I have dented it!

Why not use some sticky pads at the top. The number plate ones I have are less about 1mm thick and have held the number plate on for years. My only issue is I've had the rear valance painted gloss black. It's a shame to cover it with another gloss black valance with fins. I was hoping this would come with the same clips at the top so I could sell on my OEM gloss black one

Yeah i think the lack of contrast with the driveway isn't helping. That along with the reflection in the glossy finish
