One angle on the providing of a space saver or any other spare wheel for a car that it was deliberately left out of probably to just slip in to the lower Road Tax bracket, from a main
dealer's point of view, could be that he should really toe the Marque's line in this respect. I think as soon as the emissions game was being blamed for all of this, retro-fitting one to a new car at a price prior to collection, was stopped.
I'd guess the issue that some potential vendors of a spare wheel have would be aimed at if they were to provide you with a standard steel, almost the full size spare wheel, they can't be serious about you potentially having a
problem while having a space saver correctly fitted into the boot space - can they.
A guy at work, who always buys Fords, likes Ford Direct cars as they are all exhire cars and always get/got supplied with a full sized spare, though I'd guess that even these cars will eventually not have the space or fittings to
store a full sized spare wheel securely and have boot space left.
Finally, if this car is everything that you want/need then you should stop worrying about this wheel thing, which I think you are, and hope your Seat main
dealer second hand car seller will at least sell you all the correct parts at round about trade price. Remember to get the second key and any security codes.
