Good hunting, think we've made the decision, a Mk 3 for us . I'll be really sorry to see the R go, I will miss it, but I know Kaz hasn't took to it like the previous FR. We drove a manual Cupra at the weekend, that cemented it in her mind. I have to be fair as its her that uses it most of the time, so compromises have to be made.
Another R for sale then?

Mounted my TRC splitter yesterday, think it looks really good.
The middle and the right side bolts was a pain to fit though, the middle ones i got trough the grill and with right ones I had to remove the foglight and get it that way.

At least you'll still be able to attend the monthly breakfast jaunts without being labelled an outsider ;)

As will you mate, Sausage fest wouldn't be the same, and I'm looking forward to seeing the Focus/Evo in a couple of weeks. I'm still in two minds tbh, but Kaz is made up , as I said she uses it the most, and its not like it'll be slower... ;)

Certainly won't be the Evo mate, it'll be a while before that's here.

I hear lots of good reports about the new Cupra so I don't think it's a bad move, I'm just still not sold on the looks personally.

Sprayed Clear laquer on the carbon wrapped grill, external pillars and wing mirrors. Spent the rest of afternoon giving it a long needed clean

Is that Furia grey toot? Looking very nice.

EdIT - wow you have a sunroof!

Crushed and sort of burst open my right middle finger on saturday.
Kinda put any mk2 based activities today on hold.
No polishing to be had :(

Summers are quiet hot, but thats what the AC are made for. :)
Feels contradictory to run the AC on 18C and then open up the roof to let in 25-30C hot air.
The best thing is to leave it open when parked to vent some hot air out.

What have you got on the headlights? Or is it just the picture?

I changed my gearbox oil for the second time in 3 weeks. Feels better with the less thick oil in it.

Spi vision/fly eyes, looks the dogs imo . Just a shame it blocks so much light, looks like side lights when on full.

Had chew with your gearbox?

I was going to put some fly eye stuff on my headlights as I've done the fog lights, but would be interested to see some night time pics if you have any?

Not had any chew with it, just changed the oil a few weeks ago and it made 1st and 2nd really stiff on a morning. Turned out I had been recommended the wrong oil as it was too thick. Put the correct stuff in yesterday and all is good again.

I'll get some up tonight mate, read a few threads saying HIDS will help with light lost and they give out less heat so don't have to worry about melting the the viynl !
