Thanks dude. Still loving the head unit. Couldn't praise it enough :)

Glad to hear it. Mine turned up yesterday and I'm pretty impressed with the features having a quick play around with it.

Can I ask, where did you connect the blue 12v wire coming from the aerial booster? I can't find any obvious place to attach it and the FM signal is terrible!

Cheers mate.

Have you run the car with just the new cooler installed (WMI turned off)?

If so, how much difference is there from the China cooler?

The blue wire fits into the main connector block, there is a space for it. I dont understand why they have it coming out separate to be honest.

I haven't run without the meth, however I have it set high and I can certainly feel a good gain low down and the way it spools. Motorway cruising I was only seeing 2.5c degree rise from ambient to intake
temp

Good stuff, the cooler being out in front of the A/C condenser probably helps with the IAT at cruise speeds. The better spool up is no doubt due to the better flowing design over the S3 'style' cooler. Glad it was worthwhile

Tempted to pick up the same kit from Bruce shortly too.

Totally agree. The the stock replacement coolers are a terrible design for flow efficency, they may cool well but seem to hit some sort of wall when adding boost.
Certainly feeling the benefits from.a much better flowing setup. Talking of which, I was looking at intake manifolds last night, eekkk

Did you order the headunit direct from witson? They don't show any prices on the website.

I got mine directly from their website. It cost me £272.78 with free delivery to the UK.

Thanks, i'll take another look, couldn't see a spare space when i checked the connector before

Cars looking awesome mate, the head unit looks the dogs bits. Do you have a link from the site you got it from as I want to order one asap. Was it a uk site? Cheers in advance.

How you finding the clutch, I'm going stage 2+ after I've rebuilt my engine. I'm planning on sticking with the standard clutch as its only been in 500 miles and it's not to hard a job to change if I have to again.

Ok so next on my to do list, the head unit,

Where the hell do I start with all these leads

Also I have stripped the controller down ready to be sprayed gloss black seeing as I'm in the mood ATM

The stereo was from a Chinese company called witson.
The clutch is 100% spot on. Feels very Oem now. I highly recommend it.

Ok I have been a little naughty, i bought another coilover kit. Bc racing coilovers. I was eyeing up some adjustable top mounts for my aps as I need to add a little camber to stop my tyres rubbing, however the bc racing coilovers were far too tempting. These are fully adjustable :)

My ap coilovers will be up forsale, only seen around 1000 miles if that so will be as new. Great coilovers just don't Have the adjustment I need for my wider wheels.

Oh......... You've got to let me know what you think of the BC coil overs as I have a friend that can get me them at a very good price.....

Cheers mate I'll have a look at the website, it's probably the one I was looking at last night. I would need a very OEM feeling clutch as our lass will be using the car very other day.

I put the hoses together myself, there isn't a kit sadly.

Also have you still got your air con rad? Or that had to be removed?
Cheers

Air con rad is untouched :)

Thanks man.

Hello all, so today I was booked in at infinity exhaust to have a 3.5" custom downpipe made.

3.5" cast section

Downpipe finished and extra silencer put in, was a little on the loud side.

All finished, hangers added.

I firstly want to thank infinity exhaust for doing a fantastic job.

Now after going out for a 10 mile run I could instantly feel a difference. Torque is still insane but the top end power delivery is very smooth but pulls very hard. It's funny as it's now around 15-20% quieter but feels faster :) I'm over the moon and the tone is 100% perfect.

Great looking car mate, very impressed with the mods you have done. I wouldn't mind picking your brain about the meth kit and the intercooler.

Any tips on where to buy the mount?
