FML. So went to change the glow plus the other day and one only budged. So we put some penetration oil in and all the other 3 came out no problem

Went to put the other three new ones in, one is perfect and the other won't tighten up. The old ones have taken the thread off with them.

Absolutely ball ache. Going to try and tap the two and see if that works. I know little fragments might drop into engine but will only be aluminium so shouldn't do damage.

If not its a head off job which I don't really want to be doing.

Not a happy bunny

Yes, i've heard that the TFSI is very noisy, it sucks.
Im sure it is not the clutch or flywheel because these are brand new.
Im going to try to post a video up on this.

Mine makes a single clattery noise when it fires up, very unique sound

Can you not get a helicoil in there?

I always avoided changing glowplugs on my old TDI for this very reason.:(

That's the next job pal. One of the techies are going to try and do bits and bats today when he's free. Just a ball ache but you don't know this is going to happen you try it. Lol

Spent more than I anticipated getting my timing belt and water pump fitted. Turns out previous owner had the last belt fitted at sg petch who made a total mess of it. Timing was out. Stripped tensioner bolt in the head and incorrect parts!

So after the fiasco with the glow plugs the other day.

A guy who sorts out all of the manifold bolts then there sheared off on the Porsche's also sorts out the glow plus.

He recapped them and where all good now.

Had brake fluid on the last service and don't think the feel right so going to bleed them and see if that's the problem if not, going to try different brake fluid and pads.

Fingers crossed found the mystery behind my EML error codes for the evap purge valve and knock sensor. Trusty local spanner found some worn electrical cable and some dodgy repairs. Seems precious owners garage like to use sellotape to patch up wiring harness issues. £13 for a loom repair kit and an hours labour and I hope I will have seen the last of the Christmas tree lights on the dashboard

Washed it using VP Citrus, AG Shampoo & iron-x'd all over. Then a layer of Poorboys Black Hole and to finish some Nattys Paste Wax (Pink).

Its dirty already after the commute to work.

Woke up to some nice beading though.
