What did you and your MK2 do today?

Cheers Kebab.

To those who are using dashcams where have you mounted them?

The usual spot high up in front of the rear view mirror is exactly where the windscreen wipers don't wipe, so in rain or if your windscreen is dirty the camera's view is going to be obscured if it's placed there.

Could you position it in the bottom left corner where the Tax disc's used to go mate ?

Slightly late but had a drive down to R-Tech yesterday for some stage 1 magic, all I'll say is Niki is a legend and couldn't be happier with what he has done for me.

Car is pulling great figures of 306BHP/343FTLB and goes very well here is a print out

That's what I was thinking mate, but I was interested to see what others had done.

I have a Brodit Proclip phone mount and was thinking of putting a flat plastic mounting disc on top of that for a cam, but unsure if that'd work

Well, after seeing that handbrake leather I can confidently say I won't be doing that! As rob pointed out.... It's a penis.

Haha yeah it looks interesting in the pictures I admit, having said that, most handbrakes in extended position lend themselves to fallic imagery, this is just a little more leathery haha

The cover just means it feels less cheap and does match the armrest. The real bonus is that the infuriating buzzing has also stopped.

Drove the Mrs' car (A3) today for the first time in about 10 months and my god it was awful! I knew it needed the front tyres replacing but this felt terrible, was pulling hard to the left and was almost undrivable.

Anyway I thought I would check the tyres for uneven wear and I'm so happy I did. This is what I found.....

Have no idea what could of caused this, as everthing looks ok visibly around the suspension etc and tracking was done not far over 6-8 months ago.

I put the spare on which has greatly improved things. Going to get it checked out asap though.

Also my brother picked up his MK2 FR yesterday and brought it round to show me. It's a little strange as we are twins and now both have black MK2 FR's lol.

The dirty patch between the wipers doesn't really seem to use a problem when the camera is actually in use especially in daylight hours. I've bee using mine for a long time without issue now. For ease and the most balanced view I would put it behind the rear view mirror like the rest of us

Wow that's bad. You may have just saved a life. With today's pot holes I would get tracking done again and suspension checked also wouldn't take much to knock it out, it's clearly been out for some time. Also check to make sure the car is being used with the correct tyre pressures regularly.

Since having my service done and springs fitted my wipers haven't been returning to the sides fully. Does anyone know why this might be? They don't quite go all the way into the side position, stay out into the screen by about 2cm and it's bugging me!

They do attempt to slide back in when the wipers have finished the last wipe but they don't move all the way into the side panel. Any ideas?

Yeah definitely getting it checked out one day this week.

Checked with Seat UK to see if my brothers new MK2 has had the injectors changed. They confirmed it has been done. I thought while I'm on the phone I'll check to make sure mine has been done as I was told by Seat UK when I bought it that it has had them.

To my surprise my car has not had them changed, even though I have email proof from the Seat saying that it has been done. Their system says otherwise.

Rang my local dealer who have booked it in no problems for next Tuesday. :)

I'm forever dismayed about how dodgy that injector thing is with Seat UK, bet if you ring them back up they will give you the opposite answer for both lol.
